We discovered The Columns by chance and cannot say enough wonderful things about this B&B and its very special owner/Innkeeper, Michael Real is an outstanding host who makes you feel like you are at your best friends home.

My fiance and I drove from Florida to Virginia to visit family. Dillon, South Carolina is a little bit more that the half way point on the drive up. I discovered The Columns via an internet search and cannot say enough wonderful things about this B&B and its very special owner/Innkeeper, Michael. The house is amazing and beautiful - in the evening, it really does look like the picture. The rooms are so comfortable and cozy. You really have room to relax, watch a movie via the netflix provided in your room, and take a warm bath. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the second floor patio and enjoyed the serenity there. The breakfast was beyond compare - served on china with Waterford Crystal for your o.j.!! It was delicious, gourmet, and filling - perfect to have before heading out on the road again to continue our drive along the east coast! I highly recommend that you enjoy Michael's magnificent B&B if you need to stop for the evening.

We made our second visit to The Columns this week during a drive along 95. To spend an afternoon, night and morning at The Columns is to visit a new old friend, our host, Michael Real. Michael is a gracious host, fantastic room designer and unbelievable breakfast chef. He will give you as much space as you want or, if you prefer, he will regale you with wonderful stories. To not stop at The Columns is a big mistake.

My husband and I have preferred B & B's over hotels for many years. I can say absolutely, that The Columns is the best we have ever been in. Michael is a true host and makes you feel like a very special guest in his home. The home is exquisite, the antiques are beautiful and the artwork is lovely. I would go back just to go there as the destination! The most relaxed setting you can imagine. And...to be entertained by Michael playing the baby grand in the front foryer is just great!
