The Loft rooms were great and unexpected. The room service Continental Breakfast is very good. The staff are very helpful and Friendly. I will be back.

We were booked into loft room for one night. Where I come from, a loft is a large open space, so we were surprised to find our room was a two story affair with the bedroom upstairs via a narrow winding staircase. We are well up there in years and after negotiating the stairs to the second floor (there are no elevators), we could not even think about getting up to the bedroom. We never went up to look to see if there was a bathroom up there or if we'd have to come downstairs in the middle of the night. A call to the front desk put everything right and we were given a room on the ground floor that was better suited for us.

Faucets in both the sink and shower were loose and jiggly as was the toilet seat but management seems to be working on the hotel and I'm sure those things will be fixed. It's not like staying at a Hilton or a Mariott. And the train sounds like it comes through the hotel at 1:30AM. But The Inn at Claussen's has its own charm. Everyone was helpful and charming. If you don't want to drive, Mr. Friendly's in right in back and The Cellar on Greene is across the street.

We stayed in a loft suite here for one night. The suite was huge. Two floors separated by a chinese staircase. Two bathrooms. Nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. We weren't able to explore Columbia much but could tell that this hotel is in walking distance to a lot of cool restaurants and sites. We got breakfast room service the next morning which was very good and delivered promptly.

I have been staying at Claussen's at least three weeks per month for the past year due to business. I honestly cannot say enough out the Inn.

All of the rooms have been recently redecorated and have a "homey" feel about them. They are spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated.

The GM of the Inn takes time to pick out the wines for the wine reception each evening and then wines are excellent. To make things even better, to get additional refills, it's only $3!!

You cannot ask for a better location! Some excellent restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. Cellar on Greene and Mr. Friendly's are adjacent to the Inn. Both are incredible restaurants. Garibaldi's, Starbucks, Yesterdays and Sushi Yoshi are all within walking distance.

What makes this Inn exceptional is the staff and is the main reason why I have chosen to stay here during my business contract here in Columbia. Tabitha, the GM, and her staff are warm, welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The staff has made my business travels and being away from home a very pleasant experience.

I cannot recommend this Inn enough. I look forward to bringing my husband down for a long weekend so he can experience everything I have over the past year.
