The room was huge and very clean. It's right across from the mall and in in the midst of all kinds of eateries. Free breakfast has actual food (i.e. sausage and eggs) not just cereal, old bagels, and juice. Staff was very nice and every amenity including the pool and hot tub was available.

This is my second attempt to write a review for this hotel.... We stayed in this hotel in Oct and for the most part was pleased with our stay. On the positive side the front desk and staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was good and the rooms were adequate. My review and ratings of this hotel is based on several factors. First, the walls are very thin. At midnight we had to call the front desk due to children jumping on the floor above us. Next I found hair in the food at breakfast two days in a row. During my stay I found a customer comment card in my room that had been completed by a guest back in August complaining about the cleanliness of the room. I was surprised that this had been left in the drawer for two months considering my stay was during Oct. Upon my check out I did give the comment card to the front desk.
I am not sure why my initial review was removed. It was honest and in no way bashed this establishment. Factors such as food and noise levels are important in choosing a hotel and I firmly stand behind my review.

To the manager who insulted me by implying that I was confused by the location....I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina, former resident of Shaw AFB, and my son just graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson. I stayed in this hotel two days and earned the right to voice my opinion.

Stayed here for 3 nights from November 11-13. The rooms were very clean, I felt comfortable in them. The water pressure in the shower was great, even better then mine at home. The room was quiet, even though the hotel was almost at full capacity the first 2 nights. The free breakfast in the mornings was good. Each room has a mini fridge and microwave. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

I'm re-writing this review - I posted twice but still haven't seen it post successfully! Third times a charm?

So, we got married on October 23, 2011 & couldn't afford to go out of down for a honeymoon.. plus we have a teenager we have to be home for.. ;-) We decided to stay in town and as a last minute search, I stumbled upon Wingate by Wyndham Columbia/Harbison. What drew our attention here was the 2-person jacuzzi rooms available and the delicious breakfast in the morning we were informed about when we called for more details.

The room was stunning. VERY spacious and relaxing. It's a little home away from home indeed! All of the staff & management are friendly and easy to talk to and rely on. The breakfast was absolutely yummy!

So, my husband and I have decided we are making this place our new little getaway. We plan to come back every month or every couple of months for a weekend, just so we can relax & enjoy the quiet & each other. :-)

I highly recommend this for in and out of towners!!
