We booked two rooms for my son's Graduation from BCT at Ft. Jackson. Staff was friendly at the front desk, but the amenities were a bit less than we expected. We had booked this hotel because it has a restaurant and room service - we had a 10 hour car trip from PA, and arrived in the evening, so we needed a place to eat or room service. The food wasn't great, (and the tray of used dishes with lots of uneaten food stayed in the hall for nearly 24 hours after we put it there, as instructed by the staff.) The coffee bar was closed, although there was a room with a coffee urn near the front desk. (No non-dairy creamer to be had, though.)
We had a problem with getting hot water in the shower - we were told,"It's an old building; it will take some time." The free Internet was slow, and kept crashing. My husband spent a good amount of time on the phone to Holiday Inn Tech Support, and had to explain to THEM what the problem was, and how to fix it.
We had breakfast in the restaurant. Although we were the only customers ordering, it took nearly 30 minutes to make an omelette.
The rooms were reasonably clean, but the pillows were really small?! Odd...
