2 minutes into our room we recieved a phone call stating "Do you have a child?" Yes "Tell your child to STOP running!" Really?, we've been in this room long enough for him (20months old) to go to the window and back to the ringing phone with your phone call. "Not my problem, tell your kid to STOP running". <--- This is the phone call that started our horrible memory of this hotel. My son, who has recently learned to walk/run, however he's not an elephant. It's not my fault the floors are "hear thru". He was NOT stomping. A normal kid walk/run is all he was doing. Making things worse this call was from an EMPLOYEE of Value Place and lived on the grounds. I asked her to move us to a different room, she refused and said "Not my problem." Sounded to me when she made this phone call yelling at me that she did indeed have a problem. I wasn't aware there was a sign posted that said "NO KIDS ALLOWED". Day 3 of our stay a sign appeared in the elevator stating please be considerate of others when stomping and/or dropping things, NEITHER of which we were doing. I felt as though I was walking on eggshells ALL week long. We were treated as though we had a catching illness because we had a child. There was a child above us and never had I thought of "reporting" or calling them to make their kid stop walking/running across the floor. Even at 5am when the child woke. How rude~ I will never stay at this location again, nor will I reccomend Value Place to anyone. I have written letters to the CEO, Greg Kossover, so that he knows how bad this location is functioning. The property manager was very nice, however, she was only there on exiting for a short time. Everyone else was rude, mean looks, non-happy, bad days, I don't know for sure, but they all were rude. The white guys who checked us in was nice, but 1 out of 4 is not a good percentage. The toilet was a water waster. Hard to flush properly and so much water was used, good thing we didn't pay the bill. The knobs for hot/cold were not correct. Iron or bad water came out for a long time when filling the tub for my son's bath. GROSS> I let the water run until it stoppd. Ending up being 5 mins or so. Overall, very bad trip.
