Stayed in Charleston 3 nights, loved this location walking distance to everything and right on the (free) trolley route. The staff was very helpful in every way from keeping us comfortable to recommending good restaurants to fun sites to see. Free parking was appreciated. For the price I felt this was great stay.

My overall impression was not good because of loud next room guests until 5 am.

This was a great place to stay for the location and that was really about it. They try to make it look nice with flowers, but that does not cover up all the things wrong with this hotel. The parking was minimal at best..... Very small and hard to turn around in, if you have a larger car or truck this may be difficult. Our room was OK, I hated the fact that there was a gap of at least 3/4 of an inch under the door!! Who knows what could come in through there, plus it was raining when we got there and the water was running in and the rug was just soaking up all the water. We asked for another room but they were full and said they would have someone come and fix the door. They did, and they dried the rug, so all in all, not so bad. The pool was horrible, looked like I might catch something if I went in it, and the resturant was *&*%$..... I have no words to discribe that place, don't waste your money. It is over priced and not worth it. We will never stay here again! But if you want a cheap place to lay your head that is close to everything, well this is it!!

I chose this hotel because it was fairly priced and a great location. It exceeded my expectations. Parking was easy to manage, layout easy to get in and out. Staff was friendly, but I didn't need them for much. There is a charge for breakfast but it is just a convenience and a fair price. There are wonderful food choices within a short walk if you choose not to eat there. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and quite nice. You could spend a lot more in the area but don't be afraid to spend a little less and get all that you will need and a little more.
