I have mixed feelings about this establishment. A lot of things done right, and the location is good for the price. Charleston can be expensive, and while this wasn't all that close to the city centre, it had some excellent cafes nearby, and bicycling and public transport options are good. Off-street parking was good for us, though a little awkward to get the van down the lane.
The five of us rented beds in an eight bunk dorm and had our sleep interrupted by one of the two room-mates not in our party who insisted on using her phone and putting the fan on high in the early hours of the morning. Admittedly, not the hostel's fault, but neither did it make for a pleasant experience, particularly as we had a long drive the next day.
Overall, the rooms are basic, the amenities a little awkward and cramped, the place shows its age. Comfortable enough, but not one of my favourite hostels.
