“Very nice hotel, great service!”

This was our first visit to Charleston. I did a Priceline "name your price", and ended up here at a great price! The service here is top notch. They are very accommodating, from the champagne and lady fingers, to the pillow menu! The continental breakfast was perfectly fine (although nothing extraordinary). The room was large and comfortable and the location very good.

“classy spot”

reviews looked great and the location and hotel size was right..very friendly staff and a competitive rate for this level of hotel in that spot of town. We didn't eat at the restaurant Tristan, but enjoyed a cocktail nightly at the bar..very nice martini. the room was large and quiet. we had coffee and tea on the floor. yes we were greeted with champagne had sampled the wine and cheese in the early evening. nice touches. bedding was great and bathroom updated enough. a common outdoor balcony for a view or smoke. breakfast was simple and just right to save room to enjoy the local food scene. valet parking 17 per day. i had a coupon for one day free parking. when i presented to the front they took it and corrected my bill but seemed a bit inconvenienced. i don't know..probably should have presented coupon upon check in. stayed three nights, we got turn down on two of those.

would stay there again. the coffee should be stronger (saw the staff bringing in starbucks for themselves..hmm) and will try the restaurant next time.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We completely agree that our location is perfect and offering 50 rooms makes us the perfect size. Your gracious compliments of our amenities, Tristan, and hotel are greatly appreciated. We have looked into our coffee preparation to ensure it will be strong enough for your next visit. Hope to welcome you soon.

“A true service leader with great location”

First, if you want to be in the heart of the Market and Port area of Charleston, this is the place to stay. The Market is steps from the hotel and you can see the waterway, cruise ships from the hotel balconies or one in your room.

Second, other hotels need to follow the service standards from the French Quarter Inn. Coffee and teas on each floor in the mornings and easy to get; a delicious continential breakfast (complimentary) in the lobby. Wines, fruits and cheese in the afternoon for a social hour and milk/cookies at night. And, champagne at check in.

But the people are more than just the wine/dine...they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable in your extremely large room.

We loved the French Quarter Inn; from the location to the service, it was our right choice.

Room Tip: We had a balcony room which over-looked the market and waterway; nice place to have morning coffee a...

“Lives up to reviews”

We stayed for 4 nights and found the hotel up to the standards of the reviews. I would suggest one up grade to the room. They should add a grab bar in the shower. It is very roomy, and yet it could use a simple up grade with the grab bar. Staff was very helpful, and room and amenties were great. Would return with pleasure,

Thank you for the review and the suggestion. We are currently working on the next phase of upgrades for the hotel, which are to include the bathrooms. So this suggestion has come just in time. We are glad you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to your next trip.

“Absolutely charming hotel and amenities like no other!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

And don't forget to browse the pillow menu! we stopped there for 3 days and were greeted by Mike and Michelle, whom were a wealth of knowledge and gave fantastic recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Speaking of staff, we were so pleased with the service we receivedby everyone. The hotel was so charming and really felt like a lovely retreat. Please remember to take advantage of the amenities: free continental breakfast, which can be delivered to the room for no extra charge (I ordered the low carb breakfast, which included hard boiled egg, cheese, apple with peanut butter coffee or tea. It was just enough food for me and I'm a big eater), free wine and cheese in the early evening, which you can enjoy next to the fire sitting on comfy couches, lovelyturn down service,a fabulous pillow menu to select a favorite pillow which makes you feel like you're home and free delicious cookies and milk to end your night. Also, they have coffee and tea stations throughout the hotel should you care for a little pick me up during daytime and evening hours. Its little things like these that really make a positive impact on your stay. I could not say enough wonderful things about this place. Absolutely charming, clean, lovely retreatthat is centrally located and ealing distance to everything. You cannot go wrong with your stay and will absolutely love your time here!
