I stayed at the Spring Hill Suites in Charleston Monday -Thursday this week for business. Overall I would say I had a very good experience. Other reviewers have noted that check-in is on the first floor while the main door is on the Ground floor. It could be a bit confusing except for the large, cheerful sign that read "Check in --->" as soon as you walk in the door. Check was fast and simple. I was not happy when hold on my card was quoted as $20 when it was actually $20/day for incidentals esp. since my stay was pre-paid by my company. The nicety was the hold dropped off very quickly and there was no issue with them. The room was large with a small sink, fridge and microwave near the large desk/work area. The living room/seating area was very nice with a chair, sofa and 32" TV. The sleeping area had to very comfortable double beds with another 32" TV and closet area. The bathroom was small more more than enough to handle my needs. Breakfast was your usual hot hotel breakfast: Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and assorted cold items, the fruit cups were a nice touch though. I checked out early as I had a 7 am flight which was painless. Over all very good and I would definitively say there again if I have business in downtown Charleston/MUSC.

Excellent Value and Accommodations being across the river from Charleston and nearby beach

We stayed for several days in Feb. 2011 and were quite pleased. It was quiet and very clean. Our room had separate tv viewing area with desk and fridge and small counter with sink which was nice to keep food & beverages. The front desk was a little ackward being on the 2nd level away from the main entrance but nothing impossible to live with. Would stay there again.

We booked this room prior to leaving for a cruise out of Charleston. We hesitated at first because it is not downtown but we soon discovered that there was a free shuttle that ran each night. The hotel also offers free breakfast with hot waffles, sausage links and eggs as well as cereal and fruit. The rooms are nice and they have a couch, two TVs, a mini-fridge and a microwave. It was great for the money :)
