Nice hotel with great location. As a diamond member we we were upgraded to a larger room. Room had a great view of market and horse carriages. Curtains in room had a dusty smell.
Bathroom was small.
Hotel staff overall was helpful but we did experience a few staff members that did not provide Hilton quality service.
Breakfast foods not replaced timely. Lots of empty containers. One server provided poor service. Empty glasses etc.
Latrell provided excellent service in restaurant. Exceeded expectation by even giving us a pitcher of tea to take to our room when we asked for a to go cup of tea.
Tried to extend our stay and called down to desk around midnight, sounded like we woke up desk clerk. Had to call twice and repeat request three times before desk clerk got it straight.
Hotel recommends Carolina Polo for carriage rides. This company had a representative in the hotel. When we went to schedule tour the representative was reading a newspaper. He looked up from the newspaper and appeared troubled that we were asking him questions about the ride. Asked where carriages pick up and where it goes. his responses were "over there" and "around the city". Needless to say we chose not to give this company any of our money.
It would have been nice to have a microwave in the guest room.
Overall we had a good stay with the few exceptions listed.
