I booked the Rhett largely because of the great reviews it received on Tripadvisor. I was not disappointed. We made the 5.5 hour drive from Orlando and arrived at the Rhett at approximately 10:30 p.m. Much to our delight, we had been upgraded to a king room. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The breakfast was delightful. The blueberry pancakes are not to be missed! The house is simply gorgeous. The owners did a great job of modernizing the house yet keeping its historic charm. Everyone at the Rhett treated us with that famous Southern hospitality. My only disappointment was - that we could only spend one night at the Rhett! It was a short business trip. Rest assured, if my travels take me to Beaufort again, I will stay at the Rhett every time.

We visited in late March 2011at the recommendation of a former Beaufort resident. Wow! This was a beautiful property with over the top amenities: lemonade & iced tea with cookies upon arrival; cheese, crackers and fresh fruit with purchased wine/cocktails; after dinner desserts and coffee; a beautifully served breakfast in the dining room featuring the best grits I've ever eaten!

There was a problem with our first floor reserved room so they put us in the Innkeeper's Suite which was beautiful. Windows on 3 sides, sitting area, desk area, dressing area, large marble bath with separate shower and jacuzzi, a private entrance and all beautifully furnished. It was hard to leave.

This is a wonderful place to stay when you go to Beaufort, SC. The service is wonderful, staff is super friendly and overly accomodating. We were handed a beautiful glass of champagne upon arrival, then had pastries while sitting by a fire !!! After our check in , our amazing room with fireplace was beautiful, then we wen to dinner and the Inn had our desserts waiting for us when we got back. Breakfast the next day was delicious , and we just couldnt get over the wonderful people who took such good care of us. First rate all the way!

This is the best place to stay in Beaufort SC. I've tried other B & B's in the area and this one tops all of them. The warm hospitality, yet allows you privacy and overall Southern charm makes this a perfect place. Lots of refreshments during the day and a comfortable beautiful rooom with all the comforts of home. I stayed there last Feb and will be returning this one. The area has lots of do, shopping, sightseeing and fine dining. Loved it and will return.
