“do not stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

This was one of the dirtiest and worst maintained hotels that I have every stayed in. We left after the first night. The reviews on line were misleading. We had 3 rooms booked and each was worse than the previous. I have stayed in hotels/tents from Tanzania to Columbia to 5 star hotels in Europe and the US. This was the worst. I slept in my clothes and wouldn't leave the luggage in the room for fear of bed bugs or roaches.

“ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Door security lock was coming off the wall. Put work order in as soon as we arrived and never got fixed in our 3 day stay. Lighting poor in room. Bugs got under door that had no theshold. Snake outside our door. Toilet leaked. Pool/Spa was never operable. Shower head only dribbled water and was hanging from wall. Furniture was badly soiled. Pictures on their website must be from when it was first built. Does not represent the hotel today at all. We booked the hotel to attend Marine graduation at Parris Island so there was no other hotel accomodations to be found within an hours drive. Did not realize there was a "roach motel" in the 21st century but this certainly fits that description. The breakfast area is aweful. The dairy frig has rusted hinges and filthly. A street person would even complain of this hotel and its accomodations. You will need a long hot shower after you get home after staying at this place. I have contacted customer relations about this hotel and have requested an inspector go there and go over every inch of this place. They need to lose their franchise. Total 'slum lord" there.

Room Tip: Stay at a Hampton Inn!

“First hotel so bad I had to leave”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

We've never left a hotel, but this Econo Lodge was so dirty, musty, and decrepit we left within five minutes of arriving in the room even though they would not refund the money. We tried to get a refund through the corporate office when we returned home, but they merely referred it back to the manager of the motel.

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

I had to travel here recently for business. Because my husband is active duty in the military at another instillation I had to bring my 16 and 14 year olds with me. The day front desk manager was HORRIBLY RUDE!!! The kids stood at the side of the pool and jumped in and both her and the maintenance man come in and went off on my kids! I was sitting right there and told them that they were not diving but just jumping. Now mind you they say they are kid friendly..... but this is not kid friendly. All they were doing is normal stuff. When I asked for a refund of second night I was told too bad. Calls to corporate did not help! Was told they were private owners under the Econolodge name. TRAVELERS BEWARE!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! It is worth the extra money to stay at the Holiday Inn across the parking lot to enjoy your stay in this beautiful area.

“the place needs remodling, dont have enough supplies!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2011

We rented a room because it was supose to be remodled and nice. The room we stayed in was left out.The tile was partly missing, faucet stuck out a big hole in the wall, carpet was stapled to the walls, our sheets didnt look clean, pool was chipped all on edge, hot tub was not even warm.I wanted a snack from the machine by the pool and the guy wouldnt let me run in and get anything and he can see me,he even suggested i walk to the holiday in behind here, the snack machines are in hallway.I had surgery two weeks prior and was hurting around site[stomach] so i went and ask for an extra pillow, the guy looked in a cabinet behind the desk and said he didnt have anymore,i asked about an empty room,he said he couldnt leave the desk.I asked if i could go get one and he said no.He could have seen me all the way.I didnt sleep all night,i was hurting.God doesnt like ugly.I eat small portions each 15 min.because of surgery, couldnt take food to room.

Room Tip: I stayed at quality 2 times, great place, stay there
