I found this B&B online and after looking at the pictures, decided to book it. Upon arrival I was in awe of the room we stayed in. We stayed in the Mariner Suite. Many times, pictures can be misleading, but in this case, the pictures do the Cuthbert House no justice. The room was very neat and very clean. The breakfast is served a little early (8 - 9 am) compared to other B&B I've stayed at, but the food was great. Rather than the breakfast being served to you in your room, you must go to the dinning room area and sit at one of the 6 tables set up in there. It is a great house to stay in just to experience being in a place that is 200 years old.
Because it was pouring down rain the weekend that we stayed, we did not venture out much. However, the house was right down the street from galleries, restaurants, and right in front of the water. So, the location was great. We drove across the bridge and went to Hunting Island to visit the beach and light house there. Beaufort is a beautiful little town! Overall we have no real complaints...the owners are more business oriented and less personable.
(I traveled in 2010, but just came across this site and figured I'd add mine to it)
