“Clean, and a Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

Stayed here for 2 days during the Water Festival, waiting to check into a beach condo. The place is probably the nicest place, for the money, if you are in town for an event or MCRD graduation. The staff is friendly and helpful (we did have some problem getting the front desk to pick up their phone...very busy, hot weekend). The rooms are well-appointed and clean, the free breakfast was fine, and the air conditioning worked very well (important here!). Lots of chain restaurants close, close to Parris Island and beach (as well as Hilton HeadN Charleston and Savannah), and tons of cool historical sites close. And then...the beautiful beaches! This hotel is a good place for a short stay.

Stayed here for the 4th time for a Beaufort weekend. Great breakfast and king size room with marsh views. Elsie at check in accepted the $89/night hotel coupon book rate via reservation the night before. Nice location off Boundary Street. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Beaufort.

Room Tip: SC coupon book rate

“Good and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2011

We stayed 3 nights here in a suite. Our room was very large giving us 2 TV's and a nice sitting area. The people at the desk are wonderful. They have great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Our bed was more than comfortable as all Hampton beds have always been. The site is nice as you look over a tidal marsh. We did not use the pool as a tree was loosing its spring blossoms and kept filling the pool. They tried their hardest to keep it free of these things but mother nature won. The complimentary breakfast was always good and fresh with a different hot entree each morning. It would be hard to find if you did not know that it was by the Applebee's as it sits back off the main road. But that helps keep it quiet. We will definitely go here if we are in the area again. It was very quiet as we never heard anything.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing the marsh.

“Beautiful setting and a great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 April 2011

I frequently stay at Hampton Inns and didnt expect much from this one because it seemed older and on a commercial stretch away from the charming part of Beaufort. To our surprise, the hotel is well off the main road and right next to a low country tidal marsh and has spanish moss draped oaks in the parking lot. We actually had a view from our room! It is an older building, but it was spotless and the staff was very friendly. I made a last second reservation and had two special requests which were granted without having to ask a second time. The staff was very attentive and thoughtful. With three kids on a quick overnight trip, we couldnt have asked for a better value for the money considering the free breakfast and the relatively secluded location.

Room Tip: Thin walls, ask for a quiet room

“Good Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

We nearly always have good experiences with Hampton Inn's. This hotel is not in the most scenic part of Beaufort (former home of novelist, Pat Conroy.) But it is a good value, nice-size room, good TV coverage, and free wi-fi. If you have time drive around this pretty town and see the homes where movies such as the The Great Santini and the Big Chill were filmed.
