I read the reviews on this property on Tripadvisor and on some other websites and the reviews were mixed. I did get a great rate through Sleep Inns customer service line. Having served in the military and traveled to a number of military towns I would describe this Sleep Inn as the typical military town hotel. This property is heavily used (due to the frequency of Marine Corp boot camp graduations). The staff was very friendly, the common areas seemed clean but the property is showing its age. Its in need of of a fresh coat of paint and some general freshing up. The room was average - appeared to be mostly clean -(found a couple of small things here and there that were questionable), the sheets, blankets and comforters looked to be clean for the most part but I did have to change the bottom sheet on my bed due to stains - the bedding also showed alot of wear and tear. The hotel also smelled of cigarette smoke. The night I stayed, the hotel was full - I never heard any other guests once in the room so sleep quality was fine. If you are looking for a place to just sleep this would do - if you are looking for a stellar hotel with top notch accomodations I would recommend looking elsewhere.

My wife and I had made reservations at another hotel in town and checked out after an hour and a half. We found Sleep Inn to be a very welcome and inviting change. The staff was great and the breakfast was better than the average. Only one thing I would do is upgrade the mattresses. They are a little outdated.

Sleep Inn, Beaufort, SC was everything we would want in a hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was a good location to everything we wanted to do or any place we wanted to go. The rate was very reasonable and the staff was exceptional. Annie at the front desk was very helpfull and professional. Sylvia, whom I believe is Houskeeping Manager, was exceptionally helpful, pleasant and made every effort to be sure we were pleased with our accomodations and asked us several times if we needed anything. The breakfast area was very clean and bright and PJ made sure there was plenty to eat. She kept the items well stocked and was constantly cleaning the area. She was always smiling and spoke kindly to all the guests. All of the hotel staff, including Eddie (maintenance man) was very friendly, always smiling and ready to help us with suggestions of things to do and see in the area. My husband & I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My husband and I ran away from the children. We wanted a location that was close to everything yet out of the main stream. This hit the spot. The contenental breakfast is more like a full meal. Save money on this meal and spend on dinner. Just an hour from Savannah to the south, a little over and hour to Charleston to the north. Parris Island and Hunting Island are within 15 mins. Although the pool needed upkeep and was very warm (it is August after all) could not have asked for better and will be returning soon.
