We stopped there after mid-night coming in from a snowstorm on Cape Cod.
Hotel was a delight. Rooms are huge, breakfast is a big step up from continental, staff just lovely

After experiencing my sofa-bed hell at the Comfort Suites, Norwich, CT location, I wasn't sure what to expect at this one. The difference was night and day. The lady at the front desk let us check the room out to make sure the sofa bed was acceptable and agreed to move us to a room with two queens if it was not. It was a VERY nice sofa bed with a real mattress and VERY clean (unlike Norwich, CT). I couldn't believe how big the suite was for a place like this. It had a "living room" and a dining room area and two tvs. It was very well kept and the sofa bed bedding was very clean and new unlike Norwich, CT. I was told they are franchised which is why there are big difference. The location of this was great and close enough to visit Newport. The breakfast was well done and there was plenty of it. I can't say enough good things about this place.

We attended the University of Rhode Island Family weekend this past weekend and decided to try the Comfort Suites based on the positive reviews found here on TripAdvisor.

We stayed 2 nights and saved about $50 per night over the hotels located in S Kingstown. The Comfort Suites are located at the junction of Rt 4 and I-95, or about 18 minutes from the campus, vs the 7 minutes for Holiday Inn which is the closest.

The hotel is very clean and their employees helpful and friendly. Our room was large, with 2 queen beds and a pull out Full sofa. We also had a refridgerator and microwave in our room. With all this, there was still plenty of room for all 6 of us.

The bathroom had plenty of hot water. The shower/tub was lined with granite, and the plugs for my electric razor and my wife's hairdrier worked fine. My only minor gripe was the tub did not have the bump-out shower curtain - something readers of my past reviews know I consider the best innovation in hotel rooms in 50 years.

The AC was only needed one of the days, but it worked fine - quiet, and controlled by a thermostat on the wall.

The breakfast buffet was OK. Not great. Waffles were good. Standard toast/bagels/pastries, cereals, and juices. The eggs were mushy and seemed undercooked - I couldn't finish them. The bacon was the same way - cut extremely thin and undercooked. But the area was well organized and the attendant kept things clean and stocked -- with a smile!

Did not use the pool, though the folks that were using it looked happy. Same with the excercise room. They also have a PC/printer in the lobby for business folks who forgot their laptops.

Parking was full on Saturday night, which was sold out. we had to park near the dumpster. Not a lot of extra spaces.

We met some locals who were staying at the Comfort Suuites while their house was being renovated. They were staying for a couple weeks and they loved it. they had also stayed at some other Warwick hotels and said this was their favorite.

We will be visiting URI a lot over the next 4 years, so I'm sure we will be returning and staying here agqain.

I liked this hotel. The staff were enthusiastically helpful, the room was comfortable and spacious. The only downside was a lack of really close restaurants. Still, it was a good night's stay when I needed one.
