Other than the service personel, who were all extremely nice and pleasant, the rest of the experience was not good, at best. 5 of us stayed in 2 rooms located kitty corner to one another. The majority of other hotels were sold out due to Waterfire, but we were happy to find a room near by for the night. The call center was great in making the reservation, the front desk was wonderful and courteous in getting us checked in early...so no complaints there. Then we went upstairs to our rooms.
First, the hallways stunk of old smoke and old food - our rooms reeked of old smoke, all of the furniture, the beds, the sheets, everything smelled of smoke. It was supposed to be non-smoking, but our neighbors door opened at one point and a guest was smoking away...and it was rolling into the hallway as we stood there trying to get our doors open. The bathroom when we arrived smelled of god knows what...it just smelled utterly awful...we all wanted to hold our breath whenever we had to use it. The air freshener on the AC unit was useless. It was the same in both rooms, so I know it wasn't just a "bad room". The kitchen was clean otherwise, the coffee was decent...but thats about all the pluses I can give for it. The other room in our group complained that people were banging on neighboring walls throughout the evening.
I have stayed in many hotels and motels around the world, but this one I have to say was one of the worst unfortunately (and esspecially for the price)- so much so that I felt I needed to actually write a review on it as a heads up to other travelers.
