I knew that Rhode Island was the armpit of New England, but this hotel proves it. If you read my other reviews, you will see that I almost always can find something to compliment a hotel on. This is not one of those times. I stay at hotels 15-20 nights per month. I love La Quinta, but this hotel is even worse than a Motel 6.
I stayed here for five nights, and I can say that it's one of my worst hotel experiences yet.
First of all--the staff needs to learn the meaning of hospitality. I only met one, out of the several staff members that actually were friendly. The others were unprofessional. At one point I waited five minutes (not exaggerated, I intentionally waited and observed) at the front desk while I watched a staff member watch the breakfast room television before I got service.
The walls are paper thin. I heard everything that happened around me. The clientele at this hotel isn't the greatest (because it's so cheap), so you can imagine the things I heard. I heard people screaming at each other, uncontrollable kids jumping on beds, crying babies, etc. To get a night's sleep here was a miracle.
When I arrive at hotels I always do a mini-inspection (to check for bed bugs, cleanliness issues, etc). In this instance, I found trash beside the bed, several hairs in the tub, a few hairs on my bed, and pillows that clearly were used the night before. One of my days I didn't receive service at all--instead, they left the room untouched.
I would have been better off staying at a Motel 6, which is about what the quality of this hotel is. I'd avoid it, as there are far better hotels to stay at.
