“Better places to stay in the area then this. Lack of consideration by staff.”
My husband, my 19 year old son and myself checked in on July 29th, 2010. The hotel seems out of place for the area, as it's in a residential area. I asked for a blanket for the sleeper sofa, and was told by the desk clerk, (older gentleman) that the sofa bed already had a blanket. It was a light blanket, and I'd like another one. He did not seem happy to give me another blanket, and seemed rather put out because I wanted another one, but he eventually gave me one. Approx. 11:30 pm, our air conditioner stopped working. After making several calls to the front desk, we were eventually given another room. It was an inconvenience, as we had already unpacked, but we were thankful to be given a room with air conditioning. The next morning, as we were ready to leave the room for an family appointment, I received a call from the front desk. We were told that we'd have to change rooms, again, because we were put in a handicapped room and there would be a handicapped person checking in. So again, we moved. 3 rooms in less then 24 hours of checking in! And not one time, were we ever assisted by staff, or offered any compensation for our inconvience.
The breakfast has a lot to be desired. Juice, Milk, Coffee, Tea, muffins, cereal, oatmeal. Nothing hot at all. The Inn is dirty. It's very disgusting to have to sit in the sitting area and eat and see all the food stains along the baseboards........accumulated dust along the crown molding. I had spider webs in the corners of all 3 rooms I stayed in. Didn't feel clean at all. And the sad thing is, is that I'm an employee of Choice hotels and was treated in this manner!
