My boyfriend and I were staying at an inn in Newport for New Year's and had a situation which forced us to have to leave the hotel in the early morning hours(1am). Lets just say it was a "cleanliness" issue!! Anyway, I called the Hampton Inn and Mike answered the phone and was so accomodating. He discounted the rate since it was late and told us to come right over. Upon check in, we were treated so nicely as we stood there in our PJ's, I wondered why I didn't just stay there in the first place! He even gave us a bottle of wine and a very nice suite. The room was awesome, it was huge! So clean and the bed soooo comfortable. I know this hotel is a couple of miles (if that) from Newport, but you really can't beat the service, cleanliness, and nice breakfast provided. I will stay here again and I think you should too!

Spent to nights and had a very pleasant experience. The room was good size, very clean and had a microwave and refrigerator. Very quiet and a great hot breakfast was included in the rate. I will definitely return for another stay soon.

We always stay at the Hilton chain hotels - preferably Hampton Inn when possible - because they are always clean, comfortable, friendly and offer a great breakfast. This one did not disappoint. It is in a good location - not far from all the sightseeing you will want to do like the mansions, the Cliff Walk, the Brick Market Place, the harbor etc. There is an Applebee's right next door and a grocery store in the next plaza. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, fridge and microwave, flat screen TV, good internet connection. We traveled with my sister and her husband and had connecting rooms which my kids always love. The breakfast room is large and inviting and plenty of choices each day. They have a pool, hot tub (out of order while we were there) and a small workout room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got an exceptional price ($79.00) because we were there during the off season.

I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough. The room was always clean. The free breakfast changed daily and had a wonderful number of choices. Coffee, tea, and fruit were always available. And the cookies in the late afternoon were delicious!

We chose a suite and were glad we spent the extra few dollars because we had some bad weather while we were there and spent more time in the room than we planned. The room was spacious with a microwave and refrigerator.

The staff went above and beyond for us and most definitely enhanced our trip. We actually received a message twice during our stay asking if there was anything they could do to improve our stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had medical equipment delivered and they were wonderful about helping us with that. My husband actually left his electric shaver behind and when we called, they put it in the mail immediately and would not let us pay for the postage. The exercise room was convenient and clean with working equipment. Many times we have stayed in hotels with one piece of equipment that was obsolete. Not here. We did not try the inside lap pool and hot tub, but I regretted that I had not brought a bathing suit.The hotel is kept in perfect condition.

It took about 7 minutes to get to Newport and there is so much to do within a small area that we could go back repeatedly and always have new things to do. Wonderful location, particularly if you visit off season. We had no trouble parking when we went into Newport for dinner. And the price was dramatically lower than the center of Newport. A definite find!
