“A great experience and a great room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

I'm a big fan of Extended StayAmerica hotels, they're a great idea if a person is going to be in the same location for a few days. It's not a fancy hotel by any means but it has everything you'll need and it's like a mini-apartment.

One of my favorite cities is Providence (and East Providence), RI. I absolutely love the history and everything about the area, especially the friendly people. Some of the most courteous drivers I've ever encountered in North America reside in the Providence area. I'm not sure why that is but it sure left a great impression on me. This hotel also left a great impression on me, from the friendly check-in experience to the super convenience of having a kitchen with cooktop and full-sized refrigerator with freezer (think: ice cream. I'd like to stay in one of these in every city that I travel to if there were more of them around the country.

My room was super clean and was stocked with all of the bathroom necessities. One thing missing was dish soap which is definitely needed if a person will be staying there for longer than a day or two. I'm guessing that they may have had small bottles of it available in a vending maching downstairs along with laundry soap, etc, but I was at a Target store in the area and bought some there instead. There's a huge grocery store close by which was excellent for stocking up on food items and lots of restaurant choices as well. It's such a quaint area and everyone was so nice, I'd love to go back there for a longer visit someday. When I do, I'll stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Typically in Extended StayAmerica locations they reserve the top floor for smokers, so if you ask fo...

“Not fancy, but clean and comfortable.”

American chain hotels are very consistent and reliable. This one was catering to longer-term guests by providing fully-equipped small apartments. I spent only one night there, but still felt very much at home.

The room (or apartment) was very comfortable. WiFi was free. My only wish was that it had a better TV. There was a full kitchen with dishes and utensils. A sign on the wall indicated that housekeeping did not wash the dishes, but dishwashing liquid was not provided.

The hotel did not have any kind of restaurant and didn't offer breakfast. You might want to consider buying groceries or takeout food before you arrive.

The area around the hotel was a generic suburban strip near a highway exit. But it was a short drive from downtown Providence.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Got all the things you need, and some like the bathroom and all the extras. Loved the fact that they were eco friendly. Laundomat was a life saver.

“pretty decent place”

We stayed Sat and Sun of Memorial Day weekend. Due to the holiday weekend and College Graduations we were lucky to find a room, let alone one that was the most affordable and pretty decent at that in the area. I usually stay in Seekonk, but the BW was asking for $300.00/night. Some of the hotels were booked solid as I forgot it was also a big wedding weekend.

I needed a fridge to bringthings to a party as I didn't want to also be lugging a cooler around and filling it with ice to bring on Sunday. I also liked that you could make a light breakfast and have the fridge for snacks and drink for the evenings.

Everything was clean and in very good condition. Considering it was a party kind of weekend and the fact that it was fully booked I thought it was extremely quiet there. Plus lots of places to eat or pick things up in the area if needed.

I had stayed there once for an overnight a couple of years ago with no problems.

Staff were all very helpful. No complaints, when needed we'll stay thee again
