We stayed here for a total of 3 nights. Because the deluxe room was occupied on the first night we opted to take a lesser room and make the switch. Both rooms were obviously very recently renovated. They were fresh and clean with new crisp white linens. The bathrooms were very roomy with large step in showers. The staff were super helpful in making our switch, coordinating with the maid to have the next room cleaned first. Since the site is located close, but off the main street there was no traffic noise, just the sound of the surf.
The difference between the first room and the second was that the deluxe has a balcony, which is critical to us. The balcony overlooks the harbor and not the ocean (The hotel has two views ocean and harbor as they are on a sort of peninsula-the water is close on both sides). The balcony is large and has nice wicker furniture.
I would have given five stars, but this location is first and foremost a beach bar and restaurant. Some of the things you would expect to see in a hotel are just not there. They do not have gym equipment, coffee pots or fridge in the room. There were some odors in the hallway, but not in the room. I don't think you can beat the location however!
