We arrived at Ballard’s after many of our friends recommended the place.
It exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and professional and the food was amazing. It is a casual restaurant by the beach with upscale food and a very casual and comfortable environment. We will be back!!!

I've been vacationing on Block Island for eleven years now. We have always loved spending time at Ballard's...whether it was for an overnight stay, a day trip to the beach or lunch on the back patio. This past weekend was our first trip of the season, and I am blown away with the changes they have made to the accomodations as well as the menu. The newly renovated rooms are amazing. Their new look is fresh and modern...yet still has the Block Island beachy charm. Their were seven of us who stayed the night, and we spent more time in our room than ever.....because it was so beautiful!! The menu has some new additions...and really captures that classic New England lobster house feel. All of the staff members that we met were so nice..and always had a smile. We're heading back out to the island soon....and we just cant wait to get back out to Ballard's and soak up the sun!!!

Always have a wonderful experience at Ballards for 30 & 40 years. Ballards is Block Island. Eat right on the beach like no place in the east. Food is fantastic. The Lobsters are a MUST! The family that runs this business are the best and have been hard working to satisfy the customers for decades. HAVE FUN AT BALLARDS AND YOU WILL HAVE GREAT MEMORIES FOREVER!

It's not often you get the option of either a surfside beach or a bayside beach, both at one great hotel. And this hotel is located so close to the ferry that you can walk or bike with heavy luggage in just seconds. You are also minutes away from the shops. The convenience of an onsight restaurant & bar is immeasurable, especially if you're traveling to the island without a car. The staff is friendly, the service is great, the manager was extremely accommodating. This place is great for both adults and children, with plenty to do for all ages. The beaches & arcade are great for kids, there is a free petting zoo within walking distance, a long rock jetti to walk along just outside the door and the musical entertainment makes for pleasant afternoon cocktails. The rates are very reasonable, considering the luxurious oceanside location. We went during less-than-ideal weather conditions, which is never a guarantee, and still had the time of our lives. We would definitely stay here again just as soon as the weather allows.
