Apparently the most inexpensive inn on the island, as most places were charging $100 or more. I paid sixty something. The Harborside is a handsome, historic building, and it's surrounded by more of the same. The location, directly across from the ferry landing, is great if you plan on walking to dinner or shops.
I chose a room w/o AC in my room because I stayed in September when the weather is mild. The room does include a fan. I think there is no heat, either, but unless you are staying during a cool period in the shoulder season (I think the place is closed in the winter), that doesn't matter. My room, small but clean, had a sink with a mirror and a separate little bathroom with a shower and toilet. When I travel I don't stay in my room much so I don't mind.
I didn't need special service but when I asked the women behind the counter a couple of questions they were helpful. I don't know how easy parking is during the busy summer season. You would have to find streetside parking somewhere in the area, as the Harborside doesn't have a parking lot. Wireless internet service is available but unfortunately they charge for it so I didn't use it.
I liked it and would stay here again. With the other pricey places on the island I didn't have much of a choice anyway.
