I'm an HIE aficionado, and have stayed in them from Miami to New York to Anchorage, and a lot of places in between... This is a good one. I'm generally happy with the brand, and this one was a little cleaner and a little easier to get in and out of than most.

Clean property, clean, fresh-smelling room, convenient parking, and a nice upgrade because we're Priority Club members. Friendly, efficient staff, too. The breakfast was the same as every other HIE breakfast, but there was plenty of it - we got to the dining area in the wake of a high school volleyball team, and the hotel kept up with demand just fine.

One other plus - right near the Interstate, but no highway noise... Very convenient, and kept us on our way.

I stayed here in late June 2011 on a business trip to nearby Spring Grove. The hotel is located on the side of a ridge, mostly lower that the surrounding highway and interstate traffic. This kept it fairly quiet. The lobby looks newly furnished and well kept, I even saw maintenance workers touching up scuffs in the paint on the elevator doors. Room 416 was nice, if a little small (the 3/4 room around the elevators). TV worked well, room was clean, and save some folks celebrating after a seniors ball, pretty quiet. Breakfast was nice and nothing ran short. The thing really liked most about this stay was driving around the surrounding area. my GPS recommended taking local country roads to get to spring grove, and I was more than happy to avoid the interstate after 10 hours on it the day previous. In my 25 minute drive, I passed no less than 5 family farm stores on my way, and each looked idyllic nestled around orchards, fields, pastures, etc. If you do stay here (and I recommend that you do) you should drive over to Spring Grove, just to stop and visits the farms. Both the drive and the stay were relaxing.

Clean, modern, good breakfast, and friendly staff. Rates are a little for a HIE.

Standard Holiday Inn Express Room, had an issue with AC unit not working and toilet not wanting to stop flushing, both were taken care of the next morning by maintanence. I would recommend it if your there for a few days on business.

Not a great breakfast selection but overall decent place to lay your head for a few nights.
