In early November of 2011, I stayed for two nights at the Hampton Inn York on Mt. Zion Road when I was officiating the PIAA volleyball championships at nearby Central York High School. I've stayed at dozens of hotel chains over the years, but I don't think I've ever stayed at a Hampton Inn before. And I was thoroughly impressed in every way.

The check-in process was quick and smooth. The room was large, well-appointed, and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Parking was abundant and free. The hotel was adjacent to the Galleria Mall and a steakhouse restaurant and within a mile of some other restaurants and shopping, as well as Route 30.

The lobby downstairs had several public computers with free printing. There was coffee and hot chocolate available all day and night, as well as a few simple snacks in the breakfast area. And the complimentary hot breakfast buffet was fabulous, with various forms of eggs, breakfast meats, pastries, fruit, cereal, bagels, and other assorted munchies. And I enjoyed the complimentary newspaper each morning.

Since my room was paid for by the PIAA, I have no idea how much it cost and cannot speak to the value related to that cost. But I would absolutely love to stay at this hotel at any point in the future. I didn't spend much time there besides sleeping and eating breakfast, but everything about my stay was fabulous.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The front desk staff were warm and friendly and made sure that we knew if we needed anything we only had to ask. Our room was stylish and comfortable, more plush than we had expected it to be, and as nice as some of the more expensive hotels we have stayed in.
Breakfast was free and had everything you could want. I especially liked the hot cinnamon rolls which were brought out into the lounge by the staff.
We only stayed one night as we were on a bit of a whistlestop trip, but I would have happily stayed longer. It was a really great hotel, with a convenient location.

This was a very nice location to stay at, It has shopping next door and on the other side of HWY 30, a restraurant Chain next door or local places within lees then a mile, easy access to Highway 30, just a little far from the interstate. But the location is nice, There is no traffic noise to worry about. The room was quiet, I was on the third floor above the entrance, and did not hear late night traffic. The breakfast area was large, there was never a problem with finding sitting. The only thing that would have been helpful would have been a gas station next to this hotel, There are stations at the exit from the interstate but traffic there is bad.

Im typing this while still in our room . This hotel is top notch. It is beautifully decorated the lobby/breakfast area is like an upscale starbucks with crystal chandliers and marble breakfast bars big cos ect....but even more so is the contents of the breakfast bar. We are avid travelers and because of the kids we try and stay where they offer free breakfast , as you know this can be anything from stale cereal to hot waffles but for healthy eating it is not the best place to go HOWEVER I was so pleasently surprised to find fresh cut strawberries , light yogurts, fresh fruit , bacon real eggs hot waffles you make yourself sugar free condiments real and i mean real donuts like from dunkin if not better ( kids were thrilled) this was by far the best breakfast we have ever gotten at a hotel .and the staff so so friendly...our room is beautiful comfy beds very clean updated big flat screen tv fridge microwave just perfect.....the location is fantastic as well ...there is a huge I mean huge mall 500 feet across the parking lot yet doesnt feel like that because of the landscaping ...it has many eating and shopping options I think even a movie theater...there is a steak house right in the parking lot as well...there is a business center to use computers in the lobby and a 24 hour refreshment center which agian offers even no sugar added hot chocolate...

I will plan on staying here agian when we have time to do all the near by attractions ....this is really a beautiful place for the price I highly recommend it.
