This is one nasty property. Probably the best way to describe the room is to just say that the small "shelf" that forms when the shower stall is installed. You know...the one that's about 6 feet high that always collects dust because you forget to wipe if off? Well, that had NEVER been cleaned at this 30-year old (at least) motel.

Looks old from outside as well as inside. Smelt of Indian food. Easy to find and few minutes drive from loads of eating places. Very close to Harley Davison factory. Reception very small. Room 1 bed, and had fridge, microwave and old TV. Free WIFI. Breakfast included was muffens and Danish. Would probably not stay again as felt uncomfortable area, During night very loud from room above us and very scary .

I was looking for a reasonable hotel to stay in for 2 nights during a 3 day show in York , PA. I choose the Super 8 Hotel on Route 30 in York . This is a no frills hotel . Though the bed was comfortable and the room was " Fairly" clean the hotel was old with many coats of paint in the hall walls . The carpet in the rooms just felt dirty, and some dark hairs here and there in the bathroom and on the sink which would be hard to miss by whoever was cleaning the rooms .
I had a single bed room on the second floor towards the front . The traffic on Rt. 30 makes quite a lot of noise and the hotel is quite close to the hiway . I tried running the air conditioner or fan to cover the noise but the unit was old and noisy itself .
The lobby staff was friendly enough and tried to do whatever to please but the place needs some renovation and TLC . The location is not ideal being as close as it is to Rt. 30 but it is what it is . I think next year I'll spend just a little more and try for something a little bit nicer ?

Stayed there 3 days and was satisfied. For that price you don't usually get a fridge and a microwave so I was pleased since I need the fridge for my medicine. Room at the front got a fair amount of traffic noise from the busy intersection nearby, especially since there was a bikers' rally one night in town and I think they all came out past that intersection! Ask for a room at the back if traffic noise bothers you. No hot water one evening. The outside door away from the lobby was supposed to be locked but wasn't so anybody could have wandered in. Still, I'd stay there again for the price and location.
