My friend stays in this hotel every time she returns to Pittsburgh, and I can definitely see why! The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. I was playing a board game in the breakfast area with my nieces and nephew, and was talking to another guest about trying to remember how to play, since the directions were not in the box. We were behind the fireplace in the lobby, out of direct view of the front desk, but before I knew it, a staff member was at my side, handing me the directions for the game, which she had printed out for us. This was such a small thing, but I was just amazed that they were so attentive to our needs, even without my asking. We also had a non-working microwave in our room, which was replaced quickly by a friendly staff member.

The breakfast buffet is great, and the seating there is less crowded than in some hotels I've stayed in. The pool and hot tub are comfortable and always a hit with the kids. Coffee, fruit, and chocolate chip cookies are available in the lobby at all times, as well as lollipops for the kids. The amenities have been covered in other reviews (See David D's review for a comprehensive list of the extensive amenities offered), so I won't repeat what's already been written.

This is an amazing hotel and I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Pittsburgh!

Not much more I can add to these reviews, other then the staff are prepared to go the extra mile for anything not just right. Comfortable, free high-speed (and wireless in the lobby) internet. Breakfast is decent and fresh, as is the coffee.

This is a tremendous hotel to stay at when visiting Pittsburgh. Staff is excellent and very accomodating to all our needs. Room was huge and clean with with 2 comfortable queen beds and 14 foot ceilings. Had a mini fridge, microwave and sink. Free anytime gourmet coffee and cappucino bar, business center with two computers and a printer and a really nice breakfast buffet, not just a cheesy continental breakfast. Free WI-FI and ethernet in the room was nice. Flat panel TV, indoor heated pool and jacuzzi...Nice! Nice 24 hour weight room with two state of the art treadmills, an elliptical machine, all with flat panel TVs and free headphones, and free weights with bench. Free shuttle service, nearby shooping and restaurants and so much more. I really don't agree with WorldTraveler73 on their review but he may just be an A-Hole. Easiest way to get there is Hwy. 51 and go left on Old Lebanon Road,follow that road which is called Orchard street to Reisner, take a left and a quick right up the hill and enter the parking lot on the left. I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting Pittsburgh who want a nice, clean, quiet stay just outside the city.

My husband and I stayed at the Springhill Suites- Marriott in West Mifflin from Oct 13 to 23, 2011. We got a discounted rate for the long stay.

From A to Z, cleanliness to comfort and from relaxing and homey, this hotel was possibly the best experience my husband and I have enjoyed in our years of travel. Really!

A smoke free hotel!! Awesome! Cheerful, helpful, smiling staff all over. Sense of true pride in every all employees. The floor was mopped in the lobby at least twice a day, the maids were meticulous in cleaning our room, the bed was perfect for quality sleep, the room was quiet, and even the inside of the elevator was polished regularly! The breakfast was extensive and met all various moods and wants. It too was kept clean and replenished during busy service time. (a tough feat)

Springhill Suites was a "better-than-home" stay. I found myself relaxing as we put the key in the door each night, knowing a spotless sanctuary was waiting. We'll be back the next time we travel to Pittsburgh.
