We had planned a relaxing weekend of shopping and dining in the area. What we got was the first night of other guests loud and slamming doors for alot of the night. To wake up in the morning to find out our shower did not work. We informed the front desk anf went we returned to get ready for dinner at 4pm room service still had not been in with towels. If this had not been paid before we checked in we would have left !! This is by no way a relaxing time. I would like a response to this. Thank you

I spent the night here while my son visited Susquehanna University. My non-smoking room was clean and did not smell of smoke; there was an odor that I never could identify but it was not offensive or overpowering.

As other reviews have pointed out this is an older property but I felt that it was well-maintained and I noticed several upgrades such as marble counters in the bathroom. Some of the decor is a bit dated but that's just a style issue; it's not dirty or damaged. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft.

To use the free internet service you need to get a device from the front desk. It set up in seconds and worked fine; I checked the speed using an online service and was getting download / upload speeds of 5173 / 716 respectively. No problems with connection or with reaching any sites.

They offer a free contiental breakfast which included breads and muffins, several choices of ceral, make-your-own waffles as well as juice and coffee. It was all fresh and served in a clean and cheerful room.

I didn't use the pool but it was right outside my window. (Empty because it's April.) It's basically right in the parking lot but if you want to swim and are 10 or younger, you probably wouldn't mind.

The front desk people were so very helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortabe. We went with our 8.4 oz dog and they were an extremely dog friendly place to stay. Location is excellent within walking distance of the mall and the restaurants, walmart, etc. Also restaurant Tokyo Diner attached is good as well (they give you a discount if you show them your room key). Priced right, location excellent, rooms clean, dog friendly - all we look for in a hotel.

Apparently this property was previously a Comfort Inn and at that time underwent major renovations. It is a motor lodge property and my rating is high mainly because of the value you get for the price plus the service of the staff. Not fancy amenities but all the right amenities you'd expect for this kind of property. Large, clean rooms with comfortable beds. TV with all the typical cable channels. Free high speed internet [you must borrow a bridge from the front desk] plus there is a computer in the lobby you can use to check email and so on. Clean bathroom with granite counter. A basic and free continental breakfast that will have something you like. There is a Japanese restaurant next door we are told is quite good. Many other restaurants are near. Very close to Susquehanna University and the quaint downtown. It has everything we need and we don't plan on staying anywhere else when in Selinsgrove.
