Upon arriving at the Comfort Inn, we were greeted by the front desk clerk, who generously(!) put her phone conversation on hold; after checking us in and discovering we had a second floor room (no elevator), I asked if we could get a room on the first flooor. Mind you, nary a car in the parking lot, she gave a qucik list at the room chart and said "No, not for the kind of room you booked." Oooookaaaay. Then she went back to her personal phone call.
The hotel stunk; it had the smell of disinfectant used to cover up smoke in a non smoking area. I discovered that our non smoking room shared a hallway with smoking rooms, so there you go. The bedroom also had a funky smell, and did not feel clean. You can open the window a bit, and we did, but it didn't help much. Air ocnditioner roared sporadically during the night. Beds were comfortable.
The pool was tiny, in the side parking lot, with views of trucks roaring by on the highway. It was clean and the area apppeared well maintained. Breakfast was fine and kudos to the lady who was managing it, she hustled to make sure nothing ran out: bagels, toast, eggs, sausage patty, apples, bananas, some canned fruit. The desk clerk in the am was lovely, but for the price, not worthwhile, and I would not return, especially when there are so many other options in the area.
