I can't say enough about the Overlook Mansion! This was my first experience at a B&B, and everything went above and beyond my expectations. The Mansion is so gorgeous! From the architecture, to the furniture, to the absolutely convienent location, everything was perfect. It is very clean and the rooms are so comfortable, they feel like home away from home. It is a very short (5minute) drive to the cute downtown Reading that I never knew existed. Not only did the Mansion go above my expectations, but so did the Inn Keeper. She was extremely knowledgeable and one of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met. She was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive. I absolutely 100% recommend The Overlook Mansion! I can not wait to go back

This was my second time going to the Overlook Mansion, but my first time spending the night. Had a great time with my friends, ate some awesome food and learned a lot about it's past. And it's close to downtown Reading and some very cute shops. Would definitely go again for another fantastic event!

This B&B is beyond fantastic. i have stayed at a few, and this would be my favorite for many reasons.

1. History. Fantastic History of the place given by owners and the beauty and love that was put into restoring this mansion, tells you how much the place is cherished.

2. Events. The owners arrange a variety of different events. I have attended many from Christmas Tea's, Chocolate Fantasies, and Paranormal Investigations, and have never been disappointed.

3. Room Accommodations. I have stayed at this place 3 times now, recently for a Bachlorette party I held for my sister there. The owners out did themselves by providing and fantastic treat for the night, entertainment by way of games, and many rooms to explore and socialize in with a group of 8 girls celebrating an upcoming wedding. The mansion is smoke free, however the owners have provided and easy way to access the outside for a smoke break that is comfortable for all.

4. Hospitality. The owners always out do themselves. You will not be disappointed.

5. Location. A short distance from downtown reading that has a beautiful selections of cafe's, eateries, and entertainment for all!

Lady Luck smiled down on us when we were booked into a smoking room with no chance of a late arrival change...How I found this beautiful Victorian mansion, I'll never know except by luck and good karma. The phone was answered by the caretaker who was friendly and courteous. Remember this was later in the day...a Friday and I'm sure their day was winding down as I wish mine was.....We found a friend in the experience called...The Overlook Mansion....Totally furnished in an era long gone by, we felt like we stepped thru the looking glass....Our pix will only arouse your need to visit this lovely Bed and Breakfast...The bed was comfortable...Claw Footed Tub...Tall rooms and windows...I can't say enough...This was the real deal and why B&Bs should be utilized more often when they fall into this category ...We salute you for having us as your guests...and glad we found you!
