I read some good reviews about this hotel, however not everything was top rate. First of all, it was a little difficult to find at night and when we got there the parking lot was packed!! Apparently, if an event is going on in "the mansion", parking is at a premium. It was pouring rain and I had to park very far from the lobby. My daughter and I checked in because she was planning a college interview in the morning. The hotel seemed quite empty. Our room was clean and had a door leading to a balcony overlooking the gardens - nice the next morning when the rain was gone!! But not much charm otherwise. Anyway, room service was quite limited, and the hotel restaurant was not available because AN EVENT WAS GOING ON! We ended up with mediocre chicken fingers, and a decent cheese/fruit platter (if you get room service, order that). Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Continental breakfast very mediocre - business traveler fare. I'll look for another hotel next time I'm in the area. Nothing to write home about.

I have stayed at the Villanova Conference Center several times over the past few months, the last time being May 13 - 19.

I cannot say enough about this excellent property and staff.

The rooms are cleaner than any I have stayed in, including some 5 star hotels! The staff is not only helpful, polite, gracious and professional but personable, caring and warm.

Sandy, who is in charge of reservations, is absolutely professional and will do whatever she can to meet a guest's expectations and requests. Each time, she has done whatever she could to assist me, going beyond my expectations.

The Ethan Allan furniture is top-notch. Beds are very comfortable. Cleaning staff is detail- oriented, friendly and sensitive to the fact that guests may not want to be disturbed by chatter or noise early in the morning.

The continental breakfast is excellent - from coffee cake to eggs, several coffee choices, many tea choices and replete with a selection that is second to none.

The Philadelphia Enquirer and USA Today papers are available and plentiful.

The grounds are manicured and beautiful.

Does it sound like I cannot say enough good things about this property? I hope so, because I cannot possibly say enough good things.

No place is perfect, but the Villanova Conference Center sure comes close!

This is a great little hotel, nicely priced! My husband and I stayed here for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding. The women at the front desk upon check in was not very friendly. She was trying to solve a computer problem when we arrived and seemed bothered by our arrival. Our room was small with a double bed and love seat, but was very clean. The hotel itself is older and the rooms are nothing special. We only paid $119/night and that included a free breakfast each morning (bagels, juice, coffee, danish and fruit. Ourt friend's wedding had to be moved inside because of the weather, but turned out to be a great time. The fitness center is open 24hrs and was empty when I was there. The front desk staff was very friendly after our initial encounter. Nearby Flemings steakhouse is incredible. The food is mouth watering and dinner for 9 people with drinks, apps and tip costs us $600. Would stay here again.

I attended a two day conference at the Villanova Conference Center last week. The friendly staff, extremely comfortable king size bed, and cleanliness made my two day stay at this conference center wonderful. I also enjoyed a walk around the beautiful grounds, sat on a park bench, and walked by the water. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
