My husband and I stayed here after dropping our daughter off for college at IUP Indiana. It is 1/2 our from campus but a nice central place to explore Indiana and Jefferson counties. We visited a few wineries, a pottery studio and some Amish shops. The B&B is warm and inviting. Julia is a wonderful and warm hostess that brings her English charm to every room and detail in the building. Our room had a king sized bed with soft linens that my poor tired body was crying out for. We had a private bath. The room was spacious and comfortable decorated with antiques and charming knickknacks. A Kuereg coffee service was right outside our door. The downstairs rooms were decorated with antique furniture as well and wine glasses and openers were left on the breakfront for use by the guests. Outside is a lovely porch, gazebo and garden to relax in. This is the only flaw with the whole place, the location is on a busy road, so sitting outside is not very quiet, but if you sit by the fire pit and sip your wine and enjoy the company you are with, it seems to melt away. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Baked tomatoes, with scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast, assorted breads, coffee and orange juice is a wonderful way to start the day. WE won't always be able to stay here with campus being a little farther but every chance we get, we will return.
Room Tip: I don't want you all to know my favorite room, because you may book it when I want to be there...
