“Great view of the Point”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I requested and was on a high floor - 14th out of 15th floor! Great view of the Point overlooking Mt. Washington and Pittsburgh. Large window with natural bright light, not many hotels would provide me with this but I had a wonderful room that did. Clean, comfortable and wonderful meeting / lounge area! The restaurant overlooks Pittsburgh and the waters so it is very peaceful and serene.

Room Tip: High Floor - River or Point View.

“Ok conference hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. The rooms are a bit dated and not the cleanest. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not the hotel for you. The train is directly behind the hotel and seems to run at all hours of the night. Even with earplugs, I could barely sleep. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but those were the only pluses of the room. There is a nice sized indoor pool and decent gym. The lobby is large and the food in the hotel is good. The hotel is near several chain restaurants that are in walking distance.

Thank you for posting your comments regarding your recent stay at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel. We are sorry that you were bothered by the passing of the trains. If you return to the Sheraton in the future, perhaps we will have a room on the other side of the hotel that is away from the trains.
We are happy that you found the bedding, pool and the gym to your liking. The gym has been recently renovated with new equipment and the pool will have some work done to it within the next 2 months.
Again, thank you for your time.
Warmly,
Hotel Management

“What great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I want to express my gratitude to Sheraton Suites at Station Square. The staff there made my getaway to Pittsburgh a memorable one! In addition to the gorgeous decor and the cleanliness of everything there, I have never seen a more eager staff ready to help. In particular, the young gentleman that checked us in (I believe his name was Antonio...or Anthony maybe)... He was very thorough in explaining everything to us, and when we had a slight complaint about loud partying in nearby rooms, he quickly offered to move our room as well gave us complimentary breakfast and drink coupons there at the hotel "for our troubles." It is so nice to know that there really are employees out there that truly care about making "the customer" feel welcome and taken care of. That, indeed, I did. I will definitely be back to this hotel for my future visits!!!

“Warning: SMOKE FREE 100% but the best in Pittsburgh hands down”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Booked here as the website did not state anything about being 100% smoke free; and learned upon arrival these details. I learned that ALL hotels in the City of Pittsburgh are 100% smoke free, so if you are going into Pittsburgh for business or pleasure, make sure you book outside the City limits if you are a smoker. The staff at Sheraton Station Square was marvelous and handled everything so professionally, and the way Customer Service should be handled in this world. I would recommend going to Robinson Twp, Monroeville or outlying areas if you are a smoker. The Sheraton is an exquisite place, perfectly located along the river, visible to Point State Park with Station Square directly across the street - less than 1 minute walk which is full of wonderful boutiques, fabulous restaurants, access to the Incline which anyone who comes to Pittsburgh should definitely ride the Incline and read the history of why Inclines were used in Pittsburgh in the Steel Mill days. This Sheraton is the nicest location in the City of PIttsburgh, every detail is noticed and the place is maintained impeccably. As long as you are a nonsmoker, this is the place to stay - high end quality with the most breath-taking views and access to fabulous restaurants, unusual, eclectic boutiques that you will need another piece of luggage to bring home all the treasures. The rooms and beds are fabulous and I even had to ask who was the manufacturer of their mattresses when I stayed because after 4 back surgeries, any mattress that will allow me to sleep more than 2 hours at a time w/o pain is a blessed miracle. High end everything from the carpeting, to linens, towels, and with every step throughout the hotel. You could not possibly have a bad experience here, unless a fluke happened because it is run with procedures and policies and staff is impeccably dressed and groomed. This hotel reminds me of how things used to be, when my grandfather wore a 3pc suit everyday, with tie, pocket watch, etc and the ambience and atmosphere of the Sheraton at Station Square just exuberates or commands that level, that is to be commended nowadays where everyone and everything else is so lax and casual. Thank you Sheraton Station Square for all your help this past week with my stay. I commend ANY facility that is non-smoking that sticks to their rules; because as a smoker I never want to offend anyone who may get my room after me and be bothered with the odor and many hotels/motels will bend the rules just to fill the room and money is the #1 priority - not at the Sheraton. They believe in what they do 100% and do not break the rules. Kudos. I'll be back when I quit smoking because it was the best night sleep I have had in 10 years since the first back surgery when I stayed there.

Room Tip: By all means, request a river view room so that you can enjoy watching the boats, barges, etc on the...

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the Sheraton Station Square Hotel. The staff members at the Station Square Location work very hard to provide quality customer service and when that is recognized, we are very excited. Thank You.
I took some time to review our website and I have found on the front page and also within the booking process where it tells us that we are 100% a non smoking hotel. If you find this to not be true, we would like to know.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

“Great location nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Although the hotel appears to be far from downtown it is in a perfect location for tourists. It is right on the river and within 5 mins of the bridge to get you downtown. There are tons of restaurants and things to do within 5 mins of the hotel. We ate at the Hard Rock and Houlahan's which are both close. The hotel staff were very friendly but as other reviewers noted it was somewhat loud. When we arrived there were 2 seperate christmas parties at the hotel and the next night a wedding. the music was very loud even in our room on the 3rd or 4th floor (don't remember). The trains may also annoy some, personally we were not bothered by the odd training running by. The room was very clean and everything functioned fine. We did email the hotel directly a week before our arrival to make some requests as we were flying in and arriving on my girlfriends birthday, however we never recieved any response. If you only plan on sleeping in the hotel and not spending a lot of time there it is a wonderful spot but will require walking to get to downtown each day. The taxi ride from the airport is roughly $40-50 each way. Also, if you choose to not have the staff make up your room they give you a $5 gift certificate that can be used in the hotel. At full price this hotel is not worth it, but if you can get it cheaper then I would recommend it

Thank you for taking the time to write.
We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us.
We do have a great location with shopping, bars and restaurants just a short walk away. If you want to go into the city across the bridge, please know that our hotel shuttle will take you and pick you up. Just let the bellmen make a reservation for you. It's complimentary are will travel a 3mi rdius.
We are sorry that you did not receive a response to your email. If in the future you need information or have requests, please call the hotel and ask for a Manager on Duty. You should be connected with someone who can help you personally.
Again, Thank You!
