I stayed at this hotel last year for st. patricks day weekend and I can honestly say I had the time of my life. The hotel was undergoing renovation but so are many hotels! My first rooms floor was a little dirty so I called the front desk and the desk clerk was happy to move my friends and I. Our second room was clean and had everything we needed. We all really enjoyed our trip that weekend and plan on staying at this hotel again for this years st. patricks day weekend! My second trip was in september for a college reunion. This time the hotel was still under renovation but due to the size of the hotel I was not surprised but that was no problem! I stayed with one of my friends and she was just as happy with the room as I was, everything was clean and the beds were extremley comfortable. I am excited about going back to this hotel in a few months to see what else it has in store for me! Thanks Clarion Hotel!

We stayed here for one night as a stopover on a longer road trip. The price was right (under $60, for a week-night), and with the hotel having been recently renovated, everything was fresh, new and attractive. Our king-size room was spacious, clean and inviting, with an exceptionally comfortable bed (mattress) and new flatscreen TV. Front desk was friendly, cordial, and helpful. When we first checked into our room we noticed that one of the lamps was out (bulb). We called the front desk and before we could turn around, housekeeping was knocking at our door to replace the bulb. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip passing through Pittsburgh.

Our group, The Blues Society of Western PA, has hosted several major events at this hotel. Their staff has gone over and above each time to make our events outstanding. Our guests rave about the delicious food, the spacious facility, and the clean, well appointed sleeping rooms.The location is right off of the Interstate leading into the heart of the city, Pittsburgh making it a desirabler location. The ample parking is also a plus.

Overall this was a good stay. I paid less than 60 per night. The carpet is pretty beat in some parts of the hotel but there are many upgrades. The breakfast was great and was set in a nice dining room. The room itself was pretty good but it could use new carpet. The furniture was very nice and the TV was a new flatscreen probably 40". The linens and bed were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. For the cost of this room it was more than I was expecting. The staff was very nice. The bathtub would not drain very quickly and they offered another room. The stairways and elevators have pretty beat flooring and carpeting but I would imagine that they would be renovating all of this as well soon.
