“Would Stay Again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This hotel is located less than a mile from Univ of Pitt. The walk from Pitt back to hotel was about 20 minutes with a pretty consistent incline (nice little workout!). For those who want something more convenient, the hotel offers a shuttle service with very pleasant and knowledgeable drivers. Check with the front desk on shuttle times (they run until 8:45pm) and the drivers are literally a phone call away!

My daughter and I stayed in a 1 bdrm suite. The pull-out sofa was fairly uncomfortable but I've yet to really find one that is. The room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast buffet is served until 9:30 and they have the basics - pastries, eggs, sausage, fruits and cereals.

The fitness center is open 24/7 with card key access. It's pretty basic but the equipment is in good condition.

Parking is $12.50 in their garage and it's the cheapest I've found. Plus, after you check out, if you still need to stay in town but want to leave your car in the garage, you can. The front desk will give you a token to leave the garage and you don't get charged for the extra day.

Staff was really great. Very friendly and accommodating.

“Should be less expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

It was ok but it should have been less expensive. $40-$50 less would have made it well worth it.

“I wasn't impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

This hotel was just ok. There wasn't anything major that was bad, but a couple things did turn me off. I lost the TV signal for the HD channels about 8:30pm. The juice machine wasn't working at breakfast. They should have put up a sign. The room could have used some overall updating.

For the amount of money I paid, I expected more from this hotel.

“Nice place to stay,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

Stayed at this facility many times, it is convenient location to "Univ of Pitt", my daughter attends.
And also when going to Steeler games. They have a shuttle that takes you to Heinz field but not one
to pick you up. You have to get a cab back for $20. Alittle inconvenient but not that bad if you walk over to the casino near for pick up you really avoid all the traffic congestion at the end of the game.

The one bedroom is nice, has flat screen TV in both rooms.
A small kitchen, large fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, small oven, stove, microwave.
Small bathroom. Also has pull out sofa if you have more than 2 people.

They have a free breakfast, newspaper. Staff are very nice.
It is a little tricky getting in to register, you have to take elevator up to level T then take another elevator up to the rooms. They have a pool and also a terrace that has smoking area.
There are many places to eat near by but it is necessary to have a car to get there.

We plan to stay again and again, the price is right and location is good.
Highly recommend this place, need to make reservations ahead of time if busy week-ends as it
fills up quickly.

“Different but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

I was in Pgh for my mom's surgery at Presby Hospital. The hotel was nestled amongst a few apt buildings and houses which gave it a quaint-calm feeling. The entrance to the hotel did not have the 'front desk' as soon as I walked in and I had to go to a different floor to check in. That was really different. In addition 2 different elevators were needed to navigate to the hotel room. The fold out couch was very uncomfortable and the other room doors were very loud when they closed. The fitness room was small but updated and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly.
