After getting lost trying to find the right exit using my husband's GPS, I was so happy to be greeted so warmly. From check in to check out things were perfect. My son and I enjoyed the ballet at the Benedum just a 5 minute walk away on Dec. 23 then stopped for pizza and back to the room. Parking at garage was very convenient. We were upgraded to concierge level and breakfast was great! I will be back with my husband in March!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel. The first night was business and the second personal. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. One of the staff actually went to a store down the street to buy me some batteries for my dead keyboard so that I did not have to go out into the snow storm. We enjoyed relaxing in the bar watching football and loved the proximity to restaurants and museums. We will definately stay at this hotel again on future business trips.

My son and I went over new year's and this was our first visit to Pittsburgh. The hotel room was very clean, the staff were courteous and helpful, and the hotel, itself, is just beautiful upon entering the lobby. The elevator was sometimes a little slow, but it was new years weekend and people were in and out all night long, so I really don't consider that to be a huge factor. The location is great and I will definitely be coming back for another stay!

We decided to stay on Thanksgiving night just for the convenience of not driving at night. We opted for a less expensive room - got a great rate under Marriott Rewards. It was lovely though it did not have the best view. We could see the river but also the top of a neighboring parking garage. On this trip convenience and price trumped the view so no problem. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. We really loved the bathroom which was spacious with a pretty vanity and shining tile.

We popped down to the lobby bar for a couple of drinks and a late snack. It was very cozy and we also stopped for a while in one of the private nooks in the lobby area. Lots of little places there to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening.

We've stayed in this hotel twice before in a corner room which gives an outstanding view of the river. I recommend trying for a corner room if the view is a high priority during your stay.

The hotel is located in the Pittsburgh cultural district and an easy walk from many restaurants and theaters. It's also right by the bridge to PNC Stadium. Very convenient - if you enjoy walking, biking or jogging - you'll find trails to the North Side and even more entertainment including the Rivers Casino.

There is a parking garage across the street and valet parking is available.
