Hip and classy, and totally accomodating for our 2 mini dachsunds. Easy access for all downtown acitivities.

We are from the suburbs and frequently stay downtown for weddings, sporting events, etc. I don't usually review local hotels after just one night but we were impressed. Of all the hotels downtown, this is now my favorite pick. Fairmont has set a new standard for Pittsburgh. The hotels is new, modern, and clean. We stayed in a King deluxe room, which had a spacious bathroom, and luxuriously comfortable bed. We payed additional for a ball park view but I don't think that was worth the extra money. The health club was top-notch. A lot of hotels will say that their fitness centers are "state of the art" but this one really is. They have a great variety of cardio and weight machines. The locker rooms are excellently appointed with private showers, steam room, sauna, and vanity. We enjoyed breakfast at Habitat. The buffet isn't large but the food is fresh and so delicious. You can also order a menu item with the buffet (try the corned beef hash). I will definitely visit this restaurant again for dinner as there are other menu items I'm eager to try. I would highly reccomend this hotel to friends coming into town. I would also not think twice to stay at another Fairmont Hotel.

Although the price is high for Pittsburgh, this hotel is the nicest in Pittsburgh. The hotel is located near Market Square, which has several restaurants and shops. The lobby is large and modern and the check-in and check-out are quick. Room 2102 has a great view of the PNC Park and is very close to the elevator. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large. The bar in the lobby serves decent wines and has a TV for local sports. The fitness center has all of the amenities, including TVs on the fitness equipment, free weight, fruit for the after-workout, and coffee, tea and water. Internet access is free for Fairmont Club members. I will be sure to stay at the Fairmont the next time I am in Pittsburgh.

We splurged on a girls' get away for a friends' 40th birthday surprise. What a treat. The service is impeccable, rooms are spacious and well appointed, the health club is beautiful and the spa services just terrific. The Fairmont's service phone line is called "Royal Service" , it lives up to it's name. We all live in the Pittsburgh area and felt like we had gotten far away.
