The staff was very friendly.

However, after checking in we drove around the place and starting getting a bad feeling about the place. It did not appear very family friendly and there were many people just loitering about. We had to meet family for dinner and didn't even feel comfortable unloading our belongings and leaving them there, so we left them in the car and decided we would see how we felt later that evening, maybe after things had quieted down. Well, at night the place comes alive so to speak - there were many people with their hotel rooms open, televisions blaring and generally being loud. Not only did we not feel comfortable, we didn't think we would get any sleep since by that time it was almost 11 pm and people were still being this loud with no sign of stopping. We left and checked into the Econo Lodge down the street. As two younger females, we just DID NOT feel comfortable staying here.

No frills at all. For $50 you get a clean room, free HBO, free small pet(s) and a bar of soap. Bring your own shampoo, and lock your doors....I felt safe for the most part, but there is all night commotion and thin walls. Primanti Bros. is just down the street for a good meal.

The check in clerk was friendly, courteous and prompt.

The room was older but clean. Nothing was warn out or broken. The TV was small but adequate. Convenient to the airport and a quiet location.

The mattress could use replacing, but was serviceable.

My one complaint is the one ice machine was in the lobby and since I was on the other side of the property I decided to drive back and get my ice.

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend while we were in town for the Pittsburgh Marathon. This is a basic Motel 6. No frills, but a great bargain. We were impressed by the service and friendliness of the staff. We arrived around 10:00a.m. They let us into the room with no extra charge. They also did not charge extra for our two small dogs. The housekeeping staff was professional and courteous. The motel is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. If you head in the opposite direction there are plenty of great places to grab a bite to eat. At first, I was a little leery of staying here, but would definitely recommended it to anyone on a budget willing to drive the short drive into the city.
