First the reason I chose the Priory was because it was an monastery that had been converted into a hotel. It is a great building to explore and if you asked the staff they will let you tour the Grand Hall which was once a church.

All of the North Shore attractions are a short walk from the Priory. The neighbor is a typical of an inner city neighborhood and the people are pleasant. I found Pittsburgh an easy city to get around in.

The hotel was clean, the staff was great, and I plan to go back some day.

Excellent staff, exceptionally clean, very comfortable, affordable and unique.

Part of the neighborhood going into that area of the North shore is not the best but the area is going through renovations but we had no problems at all.

This is a very comfortable and charming place to stay while in Pittsburgh just over the bridge from downtown.

We will be staying here from now on when visiting Pittsburgh.

I enjoyed the uniqueness and old-fashioned design of the rooms in this repurposed hotel. The hospital is within walking distance of Allegheny General. Overall a good stay. There is a small free parking lot available but there is a sign letting you know the hotel isn't responsible for stolen items. The hotel is a pretty poor-looking area of town, but the night was quiet and peaceful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend someone to stay here. I also really liked the toiletries they provided. They are of higher quality and the soap smells great.

We are late posting this review, but it certainly isn't because we've forgotten about our wonderful wedding weekend at The Priory and Pittsburgh's Grand Hall. My husband and I have been reflecting on the most amazing weekend of our lives all year and we are finally getting this review in on our first year anniversary. Tim, the Manager at The Priory, and Heather at The Grand Hall went above and beyond to cater to all of our needs. We had close to 200 guests and had booked the entire hotel for our family and friends from out of town. Our guests are still talking about the staff and personnel, the beautiful facilities, and the fantastic food. We would highly recommend both The Priory and the Grand Hall for your special event, or to just to have a lovely stay in Pittsburgh.
