“Clean and quiet remodled motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

Located off I-79 on a hill side, the Econolodge provided a pleasant stay. you can tell this is an older motel that has been remodeled. While the rooms show age by design, they were refreshed with new paint & beds. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

Staff was very friendly and the coffee was nice and hot in the morning for breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay again.

“Very nice little motel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

I was actually surprised with how nice this place was, given that it was just an Econo Lodge. The rooms were good sized and everything was very clean, and no funky motel room smell! The staff and owners are extremely friendly people. There was a pool but it didn't look open. Breakfast was just coffee, juice, muffins, danishes, apples and cereal. The hotel was very quiet and they have a lot of rooms here, all one story, so no upstairs neighbors. We honestly got the best night's sleep of our trip here! This is our new place to stay in Pittsburgh as it is easy to find when coming up (from the south), and close to downtown.

“No frills room was just what we needed until I found a bug crawling on my bed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2010

We booked this room because it was cheap and we thought it would be just what we needed for an overnight after a Steelers game. Everything was fine until we were getting ready the morning of the game. I picked my sweatshirt up off my bed and saw a large bug crawling on it. Needless to say, it was disgusting. Other than the bug, our stay was fine and what we expected for an Econo Lodge, but I won't be back again.

“Worst CHoicehotels ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2009

This one was among the worst Choicehotels. The structure might be a very old motel, had some renovation done and then rebranded with chain name. The room smells bad, not that kind of terrible. The ceiling and bath room is really old, crappy, and dirty. I've been doing road trips every year, most of other Choicehotels are much better. Fridge, Microwave, internet is standard for all Choicehotels.

The motel seems to be cheap in the area. But if you're not travel alone, they'll charge you $10 for each additional person . Which is ridiculous for this kind of cheap motel. Most of the places i've stayed before they won't bother or they would only charge some nominal fee(around 10%).

“Simple - Nice - Clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2009

We just needed an inexpensive no-frills place for the night. This filled our objectives. The staff was very nice and the room was clean and had a fridge and micro that we didn;t need, but nice amenity to have if you need it. Net door is a Kinds Family restaurant open 24 hours if you want food. Saw a swimming pool but apparent;y not open as the cover was still on from the winter. We enjoyed the exprience and would return Again,
