“Horrible”

Hardly any breakfast, really. And the staff were very difficult to work with and fairly inept (room charges were billed to wrong credit card, had to wait 3 hours for manager to call back before they could clear it up). Shower pressure was miserable, the room was small and their was mold in the bathroom. Never did find workout room. In fact, minimal charm, high prices, and bad service. It was in a good location, but so was the parking lot, doesn't mean I want to sleep there.

“Bring your woolen pajamas”

Room was cold in February even with supplemental space heater that I plugged in upon arrival going full bore. Warm under thick quilt but luke warm shower failed to warm up. No Internet at all in my room and my colleague only had intermittent access one flight down. Restaurant closed for dinner. Breakfast: bagel and coffee/tea only option. Feels like a ghost town. Where are the other guests?

Lots of potential because building is charming but feels like on last legs.

“horrors”

I enjoy 'charm' and expect some adjustments when choosing 'boutique' lodging. But -- no operational Wi-Fi, cold showers, malfunctioning toilet, leaking ceiling, back-killing mattress, unadvertised parking fee tacked on to already exorbitant price, workout room consisting of some dusty treadmills in a storage closet style room along with a crib and other assorted junk, no notice before arrival that the restaurant on premises when we booked had closed,... and one day we returned in the evening to find our room hadn't even been cleaned (and couldn't be by that point, and really needed it because we had accepted just changing out or towels the day before rather than a standard cleaning). The young staff left in charge without the power or expertise to take care of the situation they have been unfairly left alone with doesn't deserve to bear the pain for what seems to be a case of absent, failing owners. And I see that some other reviewers have attempted to get to actual management for redress to no avail. If the price had even been dropped to compensate for all of the issues we experienced, I would at least feel the owners might have some interest in maintaining a good reputation. I usually do better at researching reviews before booking, and I'll take a lesson from this uncomfortable stay. The only positive aspect of this lodging is its location, but other places just a couple of blocks further from campus are far superior and far more fairly priced. (And the walk to coffee shops to use Internet offset the location advantage anyway.)

“Wireless not working”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

I had a visitor stay here. I thought this would be a quality place but, although he was polite, it obviously was not a superior place. The real problem was that he had to work in the hotel but the wireless was not working so he could not access his files.

“Pittsburgh Business Trip at Sunnyledge a Success”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

At $139 a night for the corporate rate you cant go wrong. Comfortable bed, handsome surroundings, a great martini bar, and complimentary continental breakfast. I especially enjoyed being near Walnut st where all the shops are located.

Overall a good experience
