We stayed during the week to celebrate a birthday. Just short walk (~2 minutes) to the main street of New Hope. We stayed in room J, it was a beautiful room with an easy to use fireplace. and wonderful whirlpool tub. The fixtures and settings of bedroom and bathroom were well-kept and not the least bit worn like other B&Bs we have experience in New Hope. Thick robes, comfortable bed. The breakfast was homecooked, warm and delicious and the innkeeper was friendly and helpful. We are sure we will return soon.

We came for a relaxing weekend and we specifically asked if there would be comfortable chairs in the room for reading. We were assured there would be, but there were two Queen Anne chairs w/ wooden arms--OK but not comfortable. When I saw that, I thought we'd have to go to a "public room" but there aren't any. They turned what would have been the parlor into another guest room so there isn't anywhere in the house to curl up with a book and relax.
That said, the people are pleasant and the room is clean. The jacuzzi in the room is OK. The location is great. Breakfast was fresh fruit, a small piece of quiche, croissants and blueberry bread.
It was OK but we'd try another place if we returned to New Hope.

The location of the B&B could not be beat, given the noisiness of the traffic in New Hope. This place is just far enough away from the main drag that you are spared most of it. We stayed in the garden room with its own private porch at the Umpleby House. It was sufficient for our overnight stay, but didn't fully meet our expectations when it comes to B&Bs. For close to $200 a night, I guess we expected a bit more. The room was worn down enough to not really be that charming. The same goes for the bathroom. It was dark and had no toiletries, forget the hairdryer. We were here in late October and it was chilly at night. There were no radiators in the room, instead, we were provided with a blanket that thankfully kept us warm. The breakfast was decent and filling and the hostess was friendly. I guess to sum up this mixed review, we were thankful to only stay the one night.

On several recent stays at Wedgwood Inn, I'm glad to report that the Inn has all the right touches. Delightful Olga who quickly learns your name welcomes you to a home cooked breakfast overlooking expansive gardens. There are snacks during the day, thick towels and robes in the rooms along with comfortable beds and traditional furnishings as well as a large communal living room--even home made almond cordials in the rooms all within a 5 minute walk from the center of New Hope. I am always made to feel most welcome by the gracious owners and staff. I recommend Wedgwood Inn for a special weekend or vacation.
