“Great 2 days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We spent 2 days at Harvest Moon between Christmas and New Years and we had a wonderful time. My husband and I had been there 8 years ago and returned this time with my parents. Upon arrival we had the choice to change rooms to be next to each other. The house had lovely Christmas decoration. The highlight were the two breakfasts. We often stay at B&Bs but Carl's breakfast is the best! He uses fresh ingredients, there is a lot of variety (different cereals with toppings, there are cookies and baked goods, different fruits, we had poached pears (so delicious!), and then there is the main course, which is always exciting and goes beyond eggs and ham or pancakes) and there is actually great tea! Carl is a wonderful host - friendly, helpful but not excessively chatty.

“MVP Host Carl”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We stayed in the Braeburn Room. It consists of the bedroom with king bed. You then go up the stairs to what I call the living room. It was larger than many I have been in. The bathroom is also located off of this room. This unit had more room than you could imagine. The only downside would be the amount of traffic you hear because as a small community New Holland gets a lot of traffic. As many people have mentioned Carl is the ultimate host and chef. He ensures you have plans and know where to go. His French Toast with plums was outstanding. He made poached pears with a spice sauce that was tremendous. Also Carl supported Veterans which I truly appreciate. Semper Fi

“A Wonderful place for relaxation and amazing breakfasts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We came to the Harvest Moon B&B for our honeymoon five years ago in 2006. We decided to return for our fifth anniversary. Our return experience was even better than we remember! Carl, the owner and chef, is an amazing host! He not only provides an amazing breakfast, complete with a wonderful fresh fruit spread, but he has great suggestions for area activities and sites. The location is very nice too! It's walking distance to several restaurants and shops, and such a beautiful area! We highly recommend this for anyone who just wants to relax and have a good time! We will definitely be back well before our tenth annivesary!

Room Tip: The Braeburn room is a two story room with it's own loft and large bathroom. It has an extremem...

“It's not just about the food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

If it were just about the food, that would be reason enough to keep going to the Harvest Moon. It is unfair to the rest of the world for a limited number of people to benefit from Carl's talent and creativity in the kitchen.
These are also among the most inviting and personable people we know. Tips on the surrounding attractions and eateries are right on the money and we always find (as my wife calls it) sufficient degrees of separation from Philadelphia's work stress.
If the sound of the horses taking the Amish to the market or to church in the morning doesn't awaken you, the aroma from the kitchen will.
We'll be back.
