friendly front desk staff. continental but nice breakfast. clean room and comfortable bed. Just a nice place for a short stay.

We choose La Quinta even when not travelling with pets because it is pet friendly. This was an older hotel, but clean and welcoming. Thank you

I've stayed at the PIT La Quinta quite a few times and the room staff facility are all excellent BUT 2 months ago when I was here the satellite TV kept going in and out. I could never get the local news in the morning and evening and 90% of the channels kept scrambling. Now I'm here again 2 months later and it's the same problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a TV junky but it's nice to watch the local news in the morning and evening just to know how the weather is and last night after a busy day I just wanted to lay back and watch the Thursday night NFL game. I was very disappointed when the channel kept freezing, going blank or just scrambling. The only thing the front desk could tell me is that they have a new system and they're working the bugs out.2 months should have all the bugs worked out

I am new convert to La Quinta hotels - I picked this one because it is a near-perfect stopping place when driving south from Toronto. This priority is important. I tend to stay at the same hotel chain because I'm not looking for surprises or a new experience from a hotel - I'm looking for predictable comforts. Not sure when I became that guy, but here I am. I write "near perfect" because it is a bit of a drive (maybe 10-15 minutes) off the highway heading south. If you're going to the airport, it's ideal.

This hotel is near the airport an near a number of other competitive chains. It's sterling feature, however, is its dog policy. I could forgive a great deal of any hotel if it welcomed my Lucy when we travel. Fortunately, with this location, there is not much to have to forgive. Room was comfortable and clean and better than expected for the price. I was on the main floor at the back of the hotel - not really my preference, but not that's a room specific concern. Not really an issue.

There's enough space for my dog to have a walk on grass. There's a Bob Evans resto next door which had great comfort food. It wasn't noisy. All tolled, the only complaint is the breakfast, a complaint which I apply across the chain: it needs to be more robust - some scrambled eggs and some bacon would be nice: see Holiday Inn Express, they do it right.

Ignoring that one concern, I love this chain and its rooms are better, generally speaking, than HI Express, which seems to be about utilitarian comfort. And La Quinta doesn't just accept my dog - they welcome her with open arms, which makes the deal.
