“Lovely comfortable inn”

We stayed here for a night in Oct 09. This is a gorgeous, comfortable home with many pleasant touches, beautiful antiques and friendly welcoming hosts. We had a lovely two room suite which was very good value. One of the rooms was a little noisy and I would suggest asking for the one away from the front - we hadn't realised when booking. We had an excellent cooked breakfast, and a great chat with both Ron and Nancy our hosts. We were even treated to a glass of wine after we returned from our dinner out the evening before. Highly recommended.

I was hosted in the Steiger House when I interviewed for a job at the adjacent Mercersburg Academy. My stay was a delight - a cozy room and a wonderful breakfast both mornings.

If you are looking to be pampered at a posh resort, this is probably not the place you're looking for. But if you like the feeling of being a welcome guest in a charming and intimate home then, by all means, give them a call.

Mercersburg is a very quiet town, not much in the way of an entertainment industry there. But then again, I fell in love with the place and am looking forward to working there.
