I stayed at this Motel 6 after a long tiring drive back towards home. I had three children ages 15 to 11 with me, and was simply exhausted. There were many other hotel chains available at this exit. I first stopped at a Super 8 who advertised “LOW RATES!”. Their lowest rate with a discount was $ 75 which was too much for me.
I checked into this Motel 6 which was right down the road. They had an advertised rate of $ 49 and kids under 17 stay free. I grabbed it, as it seemed to be the best rate around that area. The rooms were very spacious, with two full sized beds, a working television and remote, a telephone, towels, soap, etc. But there was little to nothing else. Don’t expect much by the way of amenities at this hotel.
They advertised free wi-fi, but when it didn’t work in my room I found out that only certain rooms had wi-fi and you had to request it upon check-in. The doors and walls were thick and sturdy. I called down at one point for an extra pillow and it was brought to me within roughly five to ten minutes by a very friendly housekeeper. The air conditioner, however, had a really loud fan. It did a great job of creating a 'white noise' to sleep to, though.
It isn’t the prettiest hotel you’ll ever stay in, and there is no pool. But, at least to me, it was worth the cost. Especially if you’re just stopping to rest. Oh, and every kind of store/restaurant/stop you would want is within minutes of the hotel.
