“Could NOT sleep because of the partying in the parking lot!”

We stayed in this Inn for 3 nights, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, in July, 2007.
On Friday and Saturday nights, patrons, from Canada, proceeded to have a party right in the parking lot, outside our room. They were playing very loud music, drinking and smoking, and talking / yelling very loudly both nights. This party was held on both Friday and Saturday nights, starting about 9 PM and proceeding until about 2:30 in the morning. They even parked their vehicles in the driveway and in our parking spots!
It was very upsetting for us, as we had planned on having an enjoyable stay at this Inn. We were planning to return and stay at this Inn on a regular basis, since our son will be attending Mansfield University. But now we are not sure if we want to stay here ever again. We also spoke to the office people several times, in hopes that they could take care of the noise, but nothing happened. The noise actually got worse!
We were unable to sleep Friday and Saturday nights, because of the music and noise. We also needed NON-SMOKING, as we are allergic, but the smoke from the party came right into our room! My husband even went out to ask them to turn the music down but these people laughed in his face! That is very disrespectful.
We asked for a refund of our money, totalling $196.20, but that did NOT happen. IT WAS AN AWFUL WEEKEND!

“You Don't Get What you Don't Pay For”

Needed an overnight place near Mansfield on short notice. Did not want to pay local Comfort Inn prices, and didn't.

But we have difficulty seeing how AAA gave this place TWO diamonds and allowed them to advertise a continental breakfast. The breakfast consisted of low quality coffee and a small, highly-preserved, packaged sweet roll.
Rooms may differ, but ours with two double beds was both small and very dingy. Couldn't determine cleanliness in poor lighting.
Aging mattresses.
Extremely small, outdated bathroom.
We stayed here on a breezy, summer evening but windows/airconditioner unit would not allow us to get fresh air into the room.

“Great Find!”

We were going across US 6 after a long driving day and needed a place
to stay, BADLY! Seeing that Mansfield is a college town we thought there just had to be a nice hotel there. We were right. Right in the center of town we found the Mansfield Inn that had plenty of rooms, was quiet, comfortable, inexpensive, and the owner could not have been nicer. The room, while small, offered everything you might want and had the comfortable bed that we needed. Across the street is a restaurant, The Mark's Brothers, that serves a HUGE stromboli. We'd stay here again.

“A gem in the woods!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2006

We were looking for a room to spend the night on our way back to Maryland from Toronto after a hectic 4 day tour of Niagara falls across the border. It was close to midnight and Checking with my Credit card travel agent yielded no hotels around the Mansfield area and we were wondering if we might have to drive further before we could find a room.

Saw the signs for Comfort Inn and Mansfield Inn from Hwy 15 South, and tried Comfort Inn who said the only room they had was for $100+. Not wanting to spend a fortune for only a few hours of sleep, I enquired with the lady at the front desk for other hotels, and she suggested we try Mansfield Inn which was only a mile away and also was a bed and breakfast hotel. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast place before, so decided to check it out.

Since it was around midnight, we saw a "Closed" sign on the door but also a sign marked "Ring the doorbell for the manager". So we rang the bell and in a few minutes the manager came down and luckily he gave a room for us which was very reasonably priced. The room that we got literally suprised us.

There was almost every amenity that one could get only at highly priced star hotels - like microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, High speed internet - extremely clean beds, quilts, bathroom, linens, complimentary continental breakfast etc...

We were very impressed with this hotel and if we have a chance of ever being in that region again, we will definitely love to stay there.
