“Worse extended stay ever!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

I have stayed at many extended stay hotels of all different types but this one was the worst. They have no amenities what so ever; no breakfast, pool, exercise room or anything. The internet is so bad that I can't even check my e-mail half the time let alone watch netflix, you can purchase more bandwidth but that doesn't make up for the slowness or downright suckyness, especially since you have to pay to use the internet in the first place. The kitchens are ok, but be prepared for only 2 of everything; 2 plates, 2 small bowls, 2 forks, 1 pot, 1 pan etc. The TV's are small and you only get 24 channels, 5 of which are ESPN, and 3 are showtime, you only get the basics (abc, nbc...) don't expect anything "fancy" like syfy, nickelodeon, disney, or comedy central. Also the one "lounge" chair in my room broke on my first day, and they still haven't fixed it a week later. I would rather have stayed at a normal hotel with a microwave and lived off paper plates than stayed the 2 weeks at this place like I had to since my company was paying.

“Good service - stay spoiled by prostitution”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2009

This is a reasonable low budget hotel with great front desk staff but my stay was spoiled by being in a room close to two obvious prostitutes who had a steady stream of visitors around the clock. I did not feel safe and the noise level was very disturbing.

“Depressing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2008

Priceline got me a room here for $80 a night. $40 is probably what it's worth.

The only thing extended here was my head out the window for some fresh air. I was here for 4 long days. I couldn't wait to leave my last night, so much so that I left for the airport at 2 am because I'd rather sleep in the airport lobby.

I took a gamble on Priceline and lost. This is not actually what you consider a hotel. It's a long term living facility for weirdos. The carpets are stained and dirty. I saw the same pepsi bottle sitting by the elevator the whole time I was there. There are no real cleaning staff tidying up the place. It just gets dirtier and dirtier.

I checked out the sheets before I did anything in my room and at first noticed a stain, then a hair, then a bunch of hair. I didn't know if they were pubic or just leg hairs, but hair nonetheless. The guy at the front counter gave me fresh sheets and pillow cases without a problem. I went to use the toilet, and another hair on the seat. Ok. Wipe it off and go one. Taking a shower that night, a few more hairs in the shower. Really? Is someone playing a joke on me? I couldn't TRY to make my room this bad. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet. NO WAY was I going to use the kitchen in this place.

The whole $5 a day for room service is what kills this place I think. Cleaning staff do a lousy job when they, I mean, IF they clean rooms. It smells like grease in the hallways due to people using the kitchens and the smoke not getting ventilated.

If I could do this trip all over again, I would pay extra and go to the Courtyard Marriot next door.

“Nice value hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2007

I stayed at the property for the month of October 2007. As other reviews have noted, this is a basic hotel. The room was comfortable, and larger than the average room. The kitchenette was adequate, with a 2 burner cooktop, small microwave, and full size refrigerator. No issues with cleanliness when I checked in, but I nonetheless washed all of the dishes and silverware before using them.

The bathroom was average sized, had several sets of towels, and basic amenities.

The bed was comfortable, but a little on the firm side. There is a 20 inch tv with cable and Showtime, and a recliner. The room has plenty of closet and drawer space for clothing.

The front desk is not staffed 24/7, but the few times I had to interact with them, they were friendly. The hotel has an onsite laudry facility ($1 per load wash, $1 per load dry).

If you want to eat offsite, there are several restaurants along Rt 30 or farther up Rt 202 in King of Prussia.

If you have a long stay in Malvern, I would recommend this property, but for shorter stays (several nights) you may want to consider the other suite hotels in the area.

One last note - it is difficult to drive to the proprty from the south - you need to either (a) drive past approx 0.5 mi to the light at Great Valley Parkway, or (b) do a U_turn in the park and cross back over Rt 29. After 30 days, it became a habit .
