Decent enough given it's proximity to Idlewild Park, but not even close to living up to other Ramada's we have stayed at. The room wasn't ready on time, the walls seem awfully thin and the "Family Package" deal for two nights - supposedly a King sized suite - didn't even include a refrigerator. A nifty electonic safe in each room, but no fridge. Is it asking too much for a small fridge in each room any more?

The soda vending machine was empty on Friday at 7 PM - and still empty the following afternoon. The breakfast wasn't bad, but all in all, given the amount we paid for the 2 night package, we won't be back. We'll try another location in the area the next time we go to the park.

We did love the park though! Idlewild was great.

I stayed here with my 6 year-old daughter in order to visit Idlewild Park which is located right down the street. The location to this attraction is perfect, though that is about the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. First, I purchased a "package" which included the hotel stay, tickets to the park, a 2$ child's meal in their "Bistro" and a breakfast. When we went into the restaurant to take advantage of the Bistro component of the package, we were told that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes even to get ice cream. The waitress offered the suggestion to order and then wait in our room??!! Whatever. We just skipped it. Breakfast the following morning was adequate and the rooms were tidy though aging. We slept fine. I probably would stay elsewhere if I should again visit Ligonier PA.

We took the kids to Idlewild and purchased the special package. One night there was enough. The restaurant kids deal ($1.99 w/ drink) is awesome but expect slow service. The waitress I think was the only one working there. She seemed overwhelmed the whole time... we did have a party of 13 plus other tables she had to take care of. They seemed to be very busy for a hotel in the middle of nothing. We will be back next year for the same trip.

We took r 2 gradsons here, and was on our way to go to storybook forest for the day, the hotel was ok and very close to the park but nothing really great to say about the stay, when we came back later to ck-in and maybe get a bite to eat....there was only 3 pizza places near by and 2 of them closed early and the hotel told us of a great pizza speac, they had, but had run out of it???????????? ok way tell us then and it was only 5 pm. but other then that it was ok.
